I wonder if I'm makin things better or worse for the collective bein like this. On one hand I'm not happy or makin any progress towards it, but...I can't rly even imagine that. I can't imagine a life without him. It's not that I don't want it, on some level I know it'd be better for me, but...I can't even dream about it cause I just can't imagine it at all.
On the other hand I make a great decoy. He's basically dropped all interest in Angel cause now he knows I'm the one who still wants him n loves him n can't exist without him. So at least one of us will make it out this time, I think.
#mafia honey#it's not a self-sacrificing thing. i'd stay all the same even if it did nothin for anyone else. but it's nice that it does!#at least some good that'll come out of this fucking mess#whatever happens to me is.....i mean it'd happen anyway. i'm neither ready or strong enough to try n get away. i don't rly even want to#i'd rather just stick around n trick myself into thinkin maybe someday he'll care about me too#i guess i make a pretty good pet too. i don't rly talk back anymore or get angry or say no. i don't make a fuss about much.#n i mean....contract or no the chain's still there. he knows it i know it there's no place far enough that he couldn't pull me right back in#nothin out here for me anyway. all i do is abuse substances n cry. at least this way i can just go to val instead of wrecking the body too#or just self soothe w/ the most horrific violent abusive scenarios i can think up. or the care i can pretend comes after#cause in reality he's been rly skimpin on the aftercare lately n that's. not great. makes the inevitable crash a whole lot worse#it's like he looked at the list of what NOT to do in a dynamic like this n made it his how-to guide instead...#though it's probably just all part of the game. needs to keep us low enough that we don't get too strong n start gettin ideas.#needs to keep us desperate enough that we keep comin back instead cause nothin else gives us the rush like he does#i think i saw the term for that recently. breadcrumbing? maybe#i can see what he's doin i know all the steps by now but i'm just lettin it play out anyway#not like i could stop it anyway. he knows everythin. he knows what i feel better than i do#plus if he doesn't he can just make it up n convince me he's right cause i can't tell the difference#¯\_(ツ)_/¯ it is what it is. at least angel n silk seem to be breakin free of it now. i'm not around that much anyway#spdrvent

maybe something about the aftermath of hobie’s canon event and how the reader would try to comfort him
there are so many theories abt his canon event, so for this i just assumed that he somehow got close to a cop (that he obviously didn't want to die) ??? sorry for the mistakes !!
comforting hobie after his canon event ☆ atsv
hobie x g-neutral reader.
he definitely zones out while he's trying to process what just happened, it just feels so unreal to him.
certainly, a thousands of thoughts run through his mind as he's internally panicking.
he just needs to go, but where ? he needs to see someone, quick, but who ? he needs someone to slap some sense into him, but again, who ?
after a few seconds that felt like hours for hobie, it eventually hit him like a thunderbolt.
he needs his safe place ... and all he could think of is you !!
brushing all his thoughts aside, he just swings to your place AND completely ignores the fact that HE'S NOT hobie brown right now !!
at this point of your relationship, hobie didn't reveal to you his spider-man's activities although you were pretty close, he just didn't feel the need to include you in his other life, until that night.
"what the ..."
SPIDER-PUNK ???
spider-punk is knocking on your window while his other hand (you assumed) glued to the wall like his feet ??
spider-punk was pretty famous, no, VERY famous, so famous that you can't even believe your eyes ???
LIKE ?? WHAT IS SPIDER-PUNK DOING AT ONE AM KNOCKING ON YOUR WINDOW ???
eventually, you allow him to come in ?? but he just ... doesn't move, nor speak, which suddenly frightens you 0_o
yep ..
it finally hits him ..
he's not hobie brown right now ..
yet, it's not enough to make him just swing away and pretend like nothing happened :/
while a silent and awkward atmosphere blankets your room, he finally comes in and stands there for a second, before reaching for his mask ...
"wait, HOBIE ?!"
no, it's not that surprising, it definitely makes sense you think ...
he never meets your gaze, he prefers to lower his head, still no words escaping his lips, only loud breathes, hinting that the boy definitely had it rough a few minutes ago ...
once you took a few steps closer, like an instinct you just cup his cheek with the palm of your hand and carefully lift his head and damn ..
it was such a sad sight.
hobie couldn't really function properly, but he certainly felt relief, almost regretting to not have revealed his secret life, his doubts and problems to you earlier in your relationship.
you just froze as he suddenly leans in and rests his head on your shoulder.
the both of you eventually stay like this for a good minute, then two, then three, then four till hobie breaks the silence with a tired voice.
"can i sleep here, tonight ?"
liar.
the boy couldn't close one eye through the whole night, but your presence sure calmed him and somehow kept him warm.
he felt a sense of security, something that he never experienced before !
the day after, you wake up without finding hobie next to you BUT before you could panic, you notice an unfamiliar note.
"thank you. ay, keep this a secret, will you ? - hobie"
BUT no need to worry !! there's no need to feel useless or whatever !! you did everything right !!
hobie wouldn't want to talk about what happened, certainly not just a few minutes after it happened, but he'll definitely explain it to you someday (:
the boy just needs some time alone, before he eventually comes back to you, after facing his spider crisis ...

anyway. from my experience with people grudgingly, hopelessly meeting the expectations put on them regardless of if those expectations were 'low' or 'high' or how much of a burden and/or painful confinement filling that role was for them - and in fact my experience with BEING one of those people (in both directions), and with plentiful support from the text before it became wall spaghetti...
i think mickey would get a lot of fulfillment from being expected to take care of someone, be a primary member of someone's support system, to know and understand and anticipate (within reason) someone else's needs, to be relied on and trusted.
his life from birth has come with the certainty from others - parents, teachers, peers, law enforcement, social workers, neighbors, distant bystanders to whom he's a theoretical or a statistic - that he will be a selfish, deadbeat, low-life criminal dirtbag. he'll be a shitty kid, a shitty student, a dropout, a criminal. he'll make a shitty fucking lover and a shitty fucking boyfriend and someday a shitty fucking husband and/or shitty father, if he manages to even make it that far. he'll be his own shitty, selfish, deadbeat, low-life criminal dirtbag father's willing lackey for life. he surely can't be that smart, he's naturally violent, and if he wasn't born pre-equipped with his family's signature absence of morals he's guaranteed to absorb it by puberty. expecting any better of him is just a waste of resources.
but then look at his actual character. iirc his literal character introduction is him protecting mandy. that he enacts his care via violence does not change that he is in fact acting with care (and i would argue that if ian actually had done what it's implied mandy accused him of, mickey's reaction would be pretty close to proportional lol).
the very first time his relationship with ian progresses, it's because ian tells mickey he needs him - paired with the fact that mickey refuses when ian just asks to see him, and has textually shown immediate risk to not doing so, but can't resist need. he seems not just jealous about ian's older lovers, but also to feel some type of way about their ages specifically - and eventually vengefully extorts them for it.
he starts beef with sasha when he realizes she's paying svetlana unfairly, and while it can be argued - and is completely understandable - that mickey doesn't give a shit about svetlana personally at this point, this is still a protective/providing act; if svetlana doesn't make enough money, the whole household suffers. personally, i would also argue that this plotline, though it goes very badly and mickey ends up doing worse - in some ways - by those women than sasha, is actually a moment of character development for mickey independent of his relationship to ian; he is attempting, on his own, to form and act upon an internal sense of right and wrong; in my opinion this could have been built on even though this specific instance was not successful. and it's not even in all ways that he's worse than sasha. he has no real obligation to find a solution to the situation he caused, even less so for the women other than his wife, but he does (even though it's a downgrade). and once he's taken that responsibility, he does extend his protective violence to "[his] girls". when somebody hits one of them, he makes a house call to that guy's place and not only kicks the shit out of him, but also tells on him to his wife to a) humiliate him in addition to beating him and b) ensure that he'll have longer lasting consequences than mickey can inflict. but of course all of this was narratively forgotten as soon as it wasn't convenient lol.
(he also looooves to make people dig their holes deeper with him. but that's not strictly on topic, just something that makes me giggle and kick my feet and draw little hearts around his name in my notebook. on the other hand, maybe i'll talk about his performative anger - telegraphed, loud - versus his genuine anger - quiet, calculated, with confidence in his ability to back it up that often makes it look like amusement. some other post.)
he also makes an earnest offer to assist with domestic labor while staying with the gallaghers - and is immediately judged for and dismissed as insincere for not knowing how.
so. while of course there would be the initial panic and defensiveness at the sudden shift, the certainty that he really can't be like that and asking him to is unfair, i think with just a little bit of understanding and encouragement, mickey would actually be not just willing to take on a caretaker type of role but happy to. lowkey flattered to have even been considered a legitimate option, validated by having the related expectations placed on him when he accepts, and fulfilled and rewarded by then actually performing the role. i think it would be hurtful and deeply insulting to him to be 'relieved' of the part on the basis of the belief that he couldn't or wouldn't want to do it. devastating, in fact.
AND! he would be pretty damn good at it, after an adjustment period. even with only low expectations to live down to and/or the only high expectations for him being of the non-caring variety, mickey still found ways to be protective, caring, and a provider that were doable within the context of his environment - whenever he doesn't think it's impossible to succeed.
(and say the shift wasn't really that sudden. say he had someone very important to him gradually increasing their expectations of him over a period of three or four years, someone he was close to who knew him very well, maybe even better than anyone else ever has, telling him every now and then "i know you can do better. i want better from you." just say, for example. like. hypothetically.)
contrast to ian, who has instead been living up to unasked for expectations his whole life. he's expected to help with his younger siblings, to contribute domestically and financially to his household, to hold down a steady job that his family relies on for basic needs as a young teenager. he's so smart, he's so charming, he's so sweet-looking; he's expected to excel academically, to have well-defined and locked-in ambitions for his far future Right Now, to be polite and level-headed and respectable at all times. he's 'so mature for his age' and 'resilient' - i.e. adults rely on him to fulfill their needs, and to not need anything from them in return. frank expects him to be able to take a few hits without being affected; monica expects him to be her best friend without needing her to be his mom; fiona expects him to need less of her attention than debbie, carl, or liam, and sometimes even than lip; kash not only has sex with him, but also expects him to meet kash's adult emotional needs, and gets violent and mean when ian doesn't do so. he's expected to come to mandy's rescue, and to patiently hold mickey's hand through his personal growth.
and most importantly, ian is expected to never, ever, ever do or say or think or feel anything that frank or monica would. or even to understand it. and when he has no choice but to have something fundamental in common with monica, he is immediately expected to behave exactly like her in every way, regardless of any other aspect of his own individual personality - which is the opposite of the first set of expectations in the worst possible way.
so again. while ian would be initially defensive and resistant to it out of conditioned pride for Not Needing, it would be an overall positive and healing experience for him to be taken care of (also again, within reason). to be doted on. to be the center of someone's attention without the expectation to cater to them because of it. to be able to feel his feelings and express them and not make sense and have it all be accepted even if it's not understood. to be able to fail and it not be the end of the fucking world, or a sign of the inevitable worse to come. to have the space and support to try a bunch of shit and fail at some of it and give some of it up and succeed but still move on to something else. to have someone who wants to know every little thing about him, all the good stuff and bad stuff and neutral boring stuff, who is glad to know every new thing they find out even if it's not what they were expecting or what they wanted to hear. someone who understands and is okay with it if he doesn't know some of that stuff either.
and. btw. all this is perfectly compatible as-is with their established/extrapolate-able sexual dynamic of mickey as the impatient masochistic bottom brat size queen who wants - or sometimes needs - to be 'convinced', and ian as the demanding selfish hard-to-impress hypersexual sadist top who wants his ego serviced as much as his body, both of them rough and tumble tough guys. BTW. By The Fucking Way. and fyi.

Will enby Helsknight/trans Tanguish/top surgery scars/stubborn avoidant Welsknight in a gender crisis make it into the main story of RnS? Like, a full acknowledgment of it? Because yes, us on tumblr are aware (and happily bully RnS Wels for it) but I’m curious to how it may be brought up in the main storyline instead of rambles and drabbles. (Don’t get me wrong, those rambles and drabbles are what get me through the day. But my best friend, who isn’t in the MCYT fandom whatsoever, just caught up with RnS and doesn’t use tumblr, and besides spamming her with tumblr posts I wanna know how much I can revel in the glory of the skrunkles with her!)
That is a great question, actually. And the answer is I don't really know.
So this is one of the downsides to writing things chapter by chapter. If I had gone into this going "oh heck yeah they're trans", this would've come up in the plot way sooner. It's nice information 1) for all the trans folks reading and 2) because it has the potential to inform the themes in the narrative. This whole story is about two chief things I think: death [the inevitability of] and identity [what defines you and why]. Why should you care if literally no one else (including the universe) does? That would be so cool to speak about in terms of a trans allegory! Why do you care about gender when it's just one thing in a world of crazy things? Or at the very least, how does it inform your identity? But this is a change I made on a whim suddenly, and I know Exactly Where I Want This Plot To Go, so trans topics and allegories as Plot Points probably won't happen.
On the more technical side of introducing trans characters -- how do you do that without just dropping "oh btw they're trans" in? Like, how do you make it a relevant thing to talk about, that doesn't feel forced or shoehorned in, especially this late in the story? Probably me overthinking, but I read it done wrong so often. It gets tired. And if I ever work on my original stories, there are trans characters in there! If I can figure out how to Do It Well in a fanfic, then I can figure out how to do it in original fiction someday maybe. So I kinda wanna take the introduction seriously? I've actually been thinking about it so much I've thought about rewriting the intro to the next chapter ahaha [it already needs rewritten in general, there's a lot going on, but the intro was going to be Helsknight waking up from something, and he sleeps shirtless, and not addressing top surgery scars then would be kinda silly I think.]
I can say at the very least, Gender Avoidant Wels probably won't factor in the story much. He is a character, but I don't think he'll become Enough of a character to faithfully address something like a trans self discovery arc. At best his issues with gender might be mentioned in passing.
Sorry! I know you probably want a better answer! My answer is basically: I don't know I'm still working on it. I want it to be there, but the capacity it's there is undecided.
That being said, I've been sitting on this glorious ask since the shenanigans started and the temptation to just Do That grows every time I read it:
#rns asks#trans tanguish#nonbinary helsknight#anonymous#no one asked but i think to date#the best intro to a trans character ive seen#is from the book 'what moves the dead'#where the mc explained they were a soldier and when you join the army you get assigned pronouns that only soldiers get#and they explain some people join the army to fight and some join because their old pronouns dont fit#and i dont think the mc ever defined why exactly they chose to be a soldier#but hey thats their pronouns now take it or leave it#them being a soldier has impact on the plot which means#even if the story isnt a trans story [about being trans] their pronouns still have weight and importance#the long pronoun explanation has a very compelling reason and never feels odd or forced#and it gets even more interesting in the second book 'what feasts at night'#where the soldier's PTSD has a direct effect on the ending of the story#[sighs dreamily] goddamn it T Kingfisher how do you always write so good#anyway enough about my writer crush on Kingfisher

Ooh you should do like headcannons of what it’s like sleeping next to Peter or having kids with Peter
ohhhh my gosh this is so intimidating, but i'll try my best !!

💙sleeping next to peter💙
listen, anon...
i personally don't imagine he sleeps
like, at all. ever
but if he did? he's either one of two sleeper types
he might crash like a log. and you won't be able to move him once he's conked out. like good luck tryin' to roll him off you
if you gotta get up? sucks to suck. you're stuck there for a while
but he could also be the type to toss and turn in his sleep
like, all night. super restless. kicking his legs and everything
might even talk a lot in his sleep, rambling incoherent babble
you'd wake up to him saying shit like, "ohhhh shit. forgot i left the cats in the car."
but he doesn't drive. he doesn't even have cats. what's he dreamin' about??? does he dream as fast as he moves????
he might also switch gears a lot. going from super clingy, to super distant really quick
one moment, he's got his cheek pressed to yours, snuggling super close. needing to be near you so bad, otherwise he'll literally die
the next, he wants his space. stretches himself out on the other side of the bed. and if you come too close, he lowkey groans about it. but like affectionately
he's like a picky cat hopped up on too much adrenaline
i don't think he'd be too overly affectionate, though. if anyone wrapped him up in a cuddle session for too long, he might get pretty antsy. just in case he's gotta move
don't even get me started on the potential for morning wood
💙having kids with peter💙
would strive to be the best damn dad ever, and you can't convince me otherwise
since he grew up without a dad himself. he wouldn't want his children to grow up feelin' the way he did
he'd try to be super present in their lives, and very involved. even if things got a little too overwhelming sometimes
he'd wanna be nothing but supportive and loving of all their hobbies and endeavors
peter knows when to set boundaries, but he'd have a tendency to be a little too lenient
once his kid got a little older, he'd be so tempted to drag them into some harmless trouble. to your dismay
like, they'd start pulling pranks on you together. but the pranks are as simple as pelting you with water balloons when you're least expecting it
or, oh no! he ran them to mcdonald's for somethin' to snack on. without you! and right after you said you were gonna make dinner that night too! they'll ruin their appetites like that!
"okay, but they really wanted nuggets. wouldn't stop askin' about it. they even said please! what was i supposed to do? say no!? look at this face!!" and he gestures to your kid's precious doll face
if his kid is born with mutant genes, he'd be so goddamn proud
and a little worried too. he'd be terrified of how his kid would be treated in school, especially for bein' different
that is...unless you enrolled your kid at charles's school. most ideal scenario honestly. peter would feel way more content then
his kid definitely wants to become a great, x-men hero like their papa someday
he introduces his kiddo to his favorite music wayyyy early on. like, your newborn is resting in their crib. and he's playin' pink floyd like it's a lullaby
"honey, we really gotta make sure this lil rascal's educated, don't we?" but he's talking about exposing them to david bowie
but if his kid grew up listening to all the genres he doesn't, he'd still be as supportive as he could
his kid likes lil nas or lady gaga or somethin'? he's takin' the whole family to a live show. he's wearing the merch. he's learning the songs. he's singin' those songs in the crowd
i do think he'd get pretty anxious, though. might worry he's not a good enough father. maybe thinks he's not cut out for it. you have to reassure him all the time: he's doing the best he can. better than you could ever hope for
he's busy with hero work and teaching a lot of the time. when he starts to get a lil too absent, he's terrified he's neglecting his kid in some way
but he's got no idea his kiddo thinks the entire world of him. literally the coolest dad ever in the history of the universe. his kid will go to school and be like "yeah well my dad's quicksilver"
he's the kinda dad who's gonna splurge on christmas gifts. so many, you won't be able to see the floor. you're worried he stole them all. but he swears on his life he paid for everything. he's gotta set a good example, after all !!
impossible challenge: try not to feel soft after thinkin' about him sitting in his kiddo's bed. readin' a bedtime story. doin' silly voices and pointing at all the pictures
the bedtime stories are x-men comics
#wow this is a lot sorry ksdjghdskjgsg#txt#peter maximoff headcanons#peter maximoff x y/n#peter maximoff x you#peter maximoff x reader#long post

I know it's a sentiment I've shared before but I have to reiterate that I love your fic!
It's single-handedly forced me to look into Persona 5's story, heh. At first I figured I'd just pick up on context clues and the spoilery stuff I generally knew about the game from the internet, but that isn't enough. Especially since I have a feeling that the stuff that happened there with the Phantom Thieves and the Metaverse will eventually catch up to Joker's no good, really awful time in Eorzea. Though it's not all horrible, since Ren's got a second family now.
I wonder if Joker will open up Alphinaud or Alisiae to talk more about his past life on Earth. Though he doesn't sound like the type to talk about physics unless Y'shtola presses him on it, I imagine he'd enjoy talking about how the world he's from works. Cid would definitely enjoy talking about the technology, Alisaie the injustice and the attempts to make the world a better place, Alphinaud the politics (maybe more contemporary stuff), and G'raha the history (or really, all of the above). I get that all that slice of life stuff will likely take a back seat until Ren's Heavensward trauma express stops and allows him respite. And his reunion with G'raha's will be a while yet.
Another silly thought just came to mind, btw. Imagine if he comes back to Tokyo with the Scions but with time having accelerated relative to the Source/Etheirys. Left in 2016 or 2017, came back in 2025 (oh no).
"What's a Jonkler?" -- Joker, 2025
In all seriousness, I doubt he'd want to get himself and the Scions entangled in Earth's myriad problems and injustices. He will, though, because that's what the Scions do. A whole hypothetical expansion, also involving Ascians and time travelers (of course). No aetherytes, though, so they'll just have to book flights and fabricate passports lol
Anyway, with my rambling done with I hope your week goes well! :)
Thank you very much!! <3
I imagine the fic's a tougher read without Persona 5 knowledge since it's from the perspective of the MC from that game and set after it + a spin off and all... At least you seem to have caught up alright, given the rest of the ask! :P
Joker has talked a little about home at this point! He went over quite a lot of stuff with G'raha (those boys were yappin'!) and spoke with Cid about the basics of Earth technology. And then went a little mad trying to figure out how Allagan Tomestones work haha! He's... reticent to bring anything up right now given the circumstances, but he'll have more opportunities later. :> In fact, at one point in the future Alphinaud will make a very nice gift for him. But at the moment the HW main story's being a big downer. :< Sorry Joker!
Imagining Joker, in some scenario where he has the tote the Scions around Japan: ...Okay, I think we're going to need a second camper...
Someday I will sit down and write up a bunch of scenarios for the Scions individually reacting to Earth stuff... Estinien would be in hell in Shibuya lol
(Joker missing multiple years of memes on Earth?! How awful!! Say it isn't so!)

Haurchefant NSFW Alphabet
A/N: im so fucking down bad for this man i will go fucking feral
Smut under cut (18+ writing / afab! reader/wol)
A= Aftercare (what they’re like after the act)
He is so doting, whatever you need, it can be considered done. Water? Was already there before you started, snacks too. Need a bath or a towel? He's on it. Just want to be held? He's been holding you this whole time silly. Haurchefant truly cherishes you with every fibre in his being, so aftercare is of the utmost importance.
B= Body part (favorite body part their own or their lovers)
On himself: He likes his forearms and hands. His forearms are quite defined and muscular, he wouldn't lie that it makes his heart melt when you wrap your own arm around them when you two go on walks. As for his hands, he knows how much you enjoy them; the way his hands alone can make you scream and moan sends a rush through his whole body.
On you: Despite worshipping every part of you, your thighs bring him more joy than he can comprehend. The feeling of your thighs squeezing his head while he slurps up your pussy is enough to make him cum alone if he doesn't stop himself. He would also be the happiest man in the world if you let him fuck your thighs, just saying.
Cum (anything that has to do with it)
He cums a pretty substantial amount and the consistency tends to be a bit more on the viscous side, at least at first, if you keep making him cum it begins to become thinner and a clearer colour; it does however take many rounds to get to that point.
Haurchefant's preferred place to finish is on your stomach or breasts, but he isn't too picky as long as it's in or on you.
D= Dirty secret (Pretty self explanatory)
There were several times before either or you had confessed or began to date where you would come to see him and he would instantly get hard, of course you weren't able to see it as his desk was covering him, but he does still feel a bit embarrassed over it.
E= Experience (do they know what they’re doing)
He has a fair bit of experience, but has also read his fair share of erotic novels that have given him some ideas on making things even more interesting than usual.
F= Favorite position
Spooning, 69, prone bone, valedictorian
G= Goofy (how serious are they)
He'll happily make some jests if the moment allows, only if you're okay with it.
H= Hair (grooming habits)
He keeps himself presentable and trimmed neatly. He has a really nice happy trail going on.
I= Intimacy (in the moment romantic or rough/dirty)
Very intimate, if you allow him to he will sing his praises and love for you for hours, in and out of the bedroom.
J= Jack off (do they masturbate and how often)
If given the time and opportunity his hand would be stroking his cock so much more, that being said he usually does jerk off daily if he can, or preferably goes straight to you.
K = Kink (kinks what they like possibly unusual)
I see him as a man who is down to try almost anything, save for anything that hurts or endangers you both.
The main kinks I imagine him having are:
Praise
Petplay
Anal
Bondage and sensory deprivation
Dirty talk (if we can count that as a kink)
L= Location (where they like to get it on)
As much as he would like to take you as his own wherever the two of you please, it is unfortunately frowned upon in Ishgardian society. Having said that, the beds of Camp Dragonhead and the Fortemps Manor have been fair from the only places you've both indulged yourselves, for example, the coethorn highlands behind trees, Aymeric's estate, the intersectory, a rented room at the forgotten knight and the firmement, just to mention some.
M= Motivation (things that makes them tick/turn ons)
You showing off your strength causes him to become down bad, and this is just canon.
Another is when you speak assertively, he's secretly hoping you might use that tone of voice on him in the bedroom someday soon.
N= No (turnoffs or absolutely won’t do)
He refuses to harm you, at most maybe some spanking, but nothing more. Also isn't a fan of pure degradation, mostly giving it but he would prefer not to receive it on its own, but you add some praise in there and he's all for it.
Other than that, mostly basic things, crossing boundaries that have been established, scat ect.
O= Oral (receiving or giving and how skillful they are)
This man, if given the opportunity, would eat your pussy for every meal of the day, and he's good at it too. Riding his face could be considered a near biblical experience, by the time he lets you off, yes, lets you, you've probably reached enlightenment.
He will hold your hips in place to make sure he can get his meal without you squirming away and to give him a way to push you closer into him, often getting you to grind your clit against his nose while he laps at what your hole has to offer him. He will happily slurp up your pussy for as long as you need, but probably longer than that.
And of course, he does love getting his dick sucked, especially if you play with his balls while you suck on the head of his cock, he'll have to try and stop himself from cumming when you do that.
P= Pace (how fast they are and how long they last in bed)
He will make himself last as long as you need him to, if it’s for you he will edge himself until he just can’t anymore.
Q= Quickie (do they prefer fast and hard)
He does for the most part prefer slow fucking, it gives him the pleasure of being able to savour your flesh around him and the intimacy between you both, but if a fast rough fuck is what you desire, then it will be done and done well.
R= Risk (do they like to try new things)
He doesn't mind some risk, but would prefer to keep it to a minimum. But is always down for trying something new with you, at least once, maybe twice.
S= Stamina (how many times they can go and how long each round lasts)
A knight lives to serve, and he will, if you want more we will provide. It takes many rounds for him to be completely spent and have to beg for mercy.
T= Toys (are they game for using sex toys on themselves or lovers)
While it is proven you can pleasure you more than adequately with his mouth, fingers and cock, he will rarely say no to using them. The more pleasure you feel, makes him so much happier and hornier.
He also doesn't mind you using toys on him, but much prefers the feel and warmth of your body.
U= Unfair (how do they tease or do they enjoy suspense themselves)
Huge tease. He will whisper the dirtiest smut into your ear and then have the two of you go about your daily tasks. However in teasing you he may as well be teasing himself also; which has led to desperate fucking in non ideal and risky places.
V= Volume (are they loud, what sounds, and do they talk)
Loud, my god is he loud. Not just in moans but he won't stop talking. From professions of love, divulging of fantasies and encouragement of your body's reactions to his ministrations, he will not be quiet. You'd have to gag him to get him to be quiet, not that he would complain too much as long as when you did take it off he could tell you how much he loves you.
W= Wild card (random sincannon of any sort)
If you are sucking his cock and he cums in your mouth, kiss him with it still being in there. It sends him feral and gets him hard again in an instant.
X= X-ray (what’s down below in dem pants)
A fair bit about average even for an Elezen, I'd say about 11 inches. His girth is just right that you have the burn of being stretched whenever he first enters you.
He keeps his pubic hair trimmed and has a thin happy trail up to his belly button.
Y= Yearning (sexdrive level)
Most of the things that come out of this man's mouth are propositions towards you. With you always on his mind, he can’t help but to yearn for you; from the minute he wakes, till moments before he sleeps, he yearns for you, mind, body and soul. Z= Zzzz (do they sleep after if so how quickly after)
He tends to get more excitable after fucking you, the adrenaline and thoughts of you just get him going. Of course after enough rounds he can be fucked out, but you’ll probably be tapping out before him.
(Somnophilia is absolutely on the table as long as it’s discussed and consented to; giving or receiving)
(playing this game has given me the gift of so many attractive characters help)

❥ ZB1 and their Palia romances
(This mini moodboard is made by me; I don’t own any of the pics.)
Oh my god!! Luna making a (quick) comeback!! Yeah, so rare. I've gotten way too into Palia, I'm not gonna lie. This random thought came into my brain while I was watching random videos, "who would they go for?" and it suddenly became a need to make this. I'm not gonna make any promises, as usual, I'm just trying to get myself in the creative mood after such a long time. I'm doing this for reasons that I will 99.9% not be able to fulfill once more. I apologize if I lack a lot compared to previous posts. Ignoring that, let's do this! Little disclaimer: I haven't gotten that far on the lore or the relationships on their own so these assumptions and descriptions of the characters could not be completely accurate!
Jiwoong
I found it really hard at first, not gonna lie.
I think he would find Tamala really attractive, given her whole witchy vibe (and overall attitude, I guess).
There's something about her that I feel matches Jiwoong really well.
It would be a kinda interesting pair, a vampire and a witch, who would have thought??
When asked he would simply say "age is nothing but a number" (obviously wouldn't apply out of the adult context!)
Matthew would tease him saying that they are an immortal couple after all.
Zhang Hao
This one was way easier than other members.
Funny enough, he has his priorities straight.
Yeah, we're talking about zerostraightnone after all.
He simps for Hodari. (affectionatelly)
He's been found looking at fanart questionably often.
He goes "THIS MAN" while biting his lip whenever there's a flirty dialogue. He actually blushes sometimes.
He just can't help it lmao.
(The members do side eye him when that happens though)
Don't even mention the shirtless dialogue to him or he'll go crazy.
Aside from Hodari, come on, we're talking about the one and only ZHANG HAO.
He can get whoever he wants at his feet. (or vice versa, honestly)
And that someone is Hassian.
He just loves strong men *sigh*
Hanbin
This one was hard too.
The reason? The recipe for this man keeps confusing me.
Too sweet or too spicy.
I can kinda see Kenyatta as one of his options.
Something about her rebellious nature, maybe.
I wouldn't say that it's a perfect match, but I think he would like such an open minded and free spirited woman by his side. (+ she can be kinda cute at times too!)
He would support her every decision, we love a supportive partner!
He would make Eshe love him, by the way. Not even her could resist to his charms!
To go with this, I feel he would also go for Nai'O, you know, to spice things up since (spoiler) they already had a thing going on ;)
That guy can also say the sweetest things sometimes so I think there would be a really great balance among the three :)
Matthew
We all know how much of a sweetie he is.
And who else is as sweet as him and could absolutely match his sunshine energy?
Best girl Tish!
I think they would be an instant and perfect match.
He would see her for the first time and go :0
"Oh my god you're so pretty 🥺💕" "Are you single? 🥺"
He would treat her as the prettiest and rarest flower, so "delicate and ethereal"
If not, he would try to flirt with Reth.
You know, the usual "no homo" at first. "He's just a friend"
But maaaan, "how gorgeous he looks, doesn't he?"
He finds himself giggling whenever he sees soup in a menu.
Taerae
This guy would fall for the sweet girl too.
Simp number 2?? Maybe?? More like simp then. (affectionately)
You can see him silently smiling at the screen while he's talking with her. Even when he sees her walking by.
Would never say anything weird about her, he's a soft and gentle man 😌
Dare I say... he's a "man in love"? Yes I do.
Going on a personal quest of picking up a lot of flowers just to gift them to her? Absolutely! Decorating a "special" room of his house (very cottagecore themed) so "she could someday feel at home"? You bet he will!
Other than that... Hey, hear me out.
He gives me the vibes that he may or may not be into older girls.
He has a certain charm on his own that the ladies wouldn't be able to resist.
I'm talking specifically of Subira. I know she's supposed to fall for the human anyway, but she would 100% find Taerae unusually charming and attractive.
𝓡𝓲𝓬𝓴𝔂
He would have a hard time admitting the real reasons behind this one.
Want a hint?
Young and rich.
Tall and handsome.
Passion for Fashion.
Who's that Paliamon?! ...It's Jel!
He finds that guy unexplainably familiar. "Have I seen you before??".
He'd be sooo confused at first, his brain can't process what's happening.
Gyuvin would finally be 100% convinced that 𝓡𝓲𝓬𝓴𝔂 loves himself way too much (and would definitely tease him for it lmao). #selflove king
𝓡𝓲𝓬𝓴𝔂 would be a blushing mess the second he realizes why he's gotten so attached to Jel all of a sudden.
Gyuvin
He's the embodiment of "At first I was like mmm (Einar) as a joke. But bro... I don't think it's a joke anymore".
Being his usual goofy self, he would actually find it kinda funny when he finds about Einar being an option for romance in this game.
He would take a photo and send it to the group chat "lmao guys look at this".
𝓡𝓲𝓬𝓴𝔂 would joke saying that he "should totally date him".
Gyuvin would see it as a challenge and start working on that.
Yes, he's goofy and silly, but he's really sensitive and emotional as well.
He would slowly get closer to Einar, starting to find himself relating to the most random things or empathizing too much...
He's found a really good friend after all 🥺 he doesn't even find dating the fishing robot as weird as he used to.
But. He wouldn't hesitate flirting with Hassian if that means he gets to spend more precious time with Tau 🥺
(I can definitely see Tish being an option too).
Gunwook
Our favorite nerd (affectionately).
The one who started all of this. But I'll forgive him because he's such a cutie pie.
He was the first one when I started to think about their different options.
I'm 101% sure he would LOVE Jina.
Other than just for her looks, you know what they say "smart is sexy"... Or something like that.
I feel like he's the type of person to fall for the brain first (which sounds kinda creepy and weird without context oopsie).
He would try his best to focus in and prioritize all of the quests that are related to her in any way.
There's also a chance he would kinda get jealous of Hekla, but it wouldn't go farther than a simple joke.
Assuming he actually loves to talk non-stop about "smart stuff" and throw around random facts he's learned, he would be all "smile and nod" (and blush) in real life if she wasn't a fictional character.
Yujin
Wasn't sure about adding him, but I found it really cute.
Once again, going for the popular option here, he would have a crush on Tish.
I can not see this any other way.
He's a shy baby but would try his absolute best to have a "clear" mind when it comes to choosing the best responses on dialogue.
You know, he wants to show that he can act like a rational adult too.
...would actually fail more often than not and ask the older hyungs for advice. He wants to do things right (he's taking this seriously).
He likes to see it as a "traning for real life". There's a lot to learn that can also be applied to non romantic relationships!
At the end of the day, he would try to sound "poetic" (or something like that) by saying that "with love, patience and communication all relationships can bloom".
The hyungs can't help but tease him because of how cute he is!

“ ain't the worst idea, ” shoots into silent air, a clean cut through whatever neutrality's been built there. tyler's head remains stubbornly turned sideways, cheeks brushed red cause now it's obvious he's been thinking 'bout it, the offer. “ workin' for you full time. ” words drawl out slow, careful elaboration -- or maybe just from embarrassment on his part. ashamed with how much he likes it, this secretive trench dug deep enough within to have him considering throwin' everything away just so he ( they ) can be shoulder-to-shoulder all day.
sometimes vince feels like he's going too fast, like he's pulling the throttle up and his helmet's not screwed on tight enough and the fat of his cheeks is rattling with the vibrations of the plane. of course, he loves flying — safely, anyway — and it's always felt like the plane works with him. like they're in a partnership together. despite being an instructor, vince has never left his mechanic days alone. likes to be the one to tune the big guys up before he takes them out. doesn't acknowledge how it's sometimes a paranoia thing, worried that the compressor disks might be — but now he's just getting away from the topic. the point is, vince takes care of his planes, and the planes take care of him. it's a simple mutual exchange, and it's worked well for vince so far.
he hates to admit it, but talking to tyler isn't a whole lot like flying a plane. it just doesn't come as easy! but he's been learning his circuitry more and more ( so to speak ); finding out what jokes make him stare in bewilderment and which ones get an irritated snap out of him. hasn't found the magic combo to get a laugh out of him, not even after thirteen years of friendship and close to a year into their relationship. hey, he'll get there someday.
but the reasoning behind the whole plane metaphor is what zoe said the other day offhandedly, made him scratch his head and think a little. apparently, the youth are calling things "u-haul relationships". he'd shared the news with tyler, who hadn't understood until vince explained that these people start dating and quickly move in together. "but that's not us," vince had mused, "...right?"
"that's way off," tyler had decided. "we didn't waste our cash on some truck."
vince doesn't think that's exactly the point, but he'd let it drop. still, he can't help it — feels teenage when he's around his boyfriend, as much as it embarrasses him to admit it to himself. tyler just... feels right to him. maybe it's... ( the trauma? his mind offers up, which he immediately dismisses ) weird, to click so well with somebody, or maybe vince is just lonely, appreciates coming home to tyler, to being watched by him. at first, it was a little jarring, turning around and seeing a six-foot man standing there, but it's gotten reassuring. knowing he's safe.
safe isn't a word he should use but he uses it anyway. and the truth is, vince does feel safe around tyler — or he should say dean, since that's his name now. because when tyler starts speaking, cheeks red-tinged and blue eyes refusing to meet vince's own, he realizes he'll have to start getting used to it. will be referring to him in public a lot more from now on. doughy features light up, what feels like a mountain of worries sliding right off vince's shoulders. "hey, that's great!" cheered like tyler just told him he got an a on a paper instead of saying that he might work at vince's company full-time. jesus, vince hates tyler's construction work. not that it's particularly bad, but he heard construction workers can get a little handsy, and with all the overtime tyler works...? vince just feels — safer!, with tyler around him. it's why he brought it up in the first place. turns fully around and sticks out his hand for a firm shake. "well, dean — you're hired! best qualifications i've seen for miles. hell, if you fix up 747s like you fix the wiring on the lights, you could teach some of my employees a thing or two." tries to sound nonchalant about it, because he doesn't want to admit outright that... well, that he misses tyler all day. that that's the reason why he even offered. still, vince can't entirely let the topic drop, regarding tyler with a hidden nervousness. "so, uh, what made you change your mind?"

he can't help but smile at the kid; he's always been so sweet. perhaps he comes across a bit naive, a bit too innocent, but yejun kinda likes it. he hopes that namu keeps that spark, whatever it might be, alive for years to come. the world is a hard enough place as it is; yejun almost wishes he could be more of an optimist too. "thank you," he murmurs, quiet with words that are genuine despite their simplicity. "i appreciate it, really. maybe i'll take you up on that, someday." maybe when he's at the end of his rope, when he can't do this anymore, when there's nowhere left to turn... yejun would like to think that he'll never get to this point, that he just needs to survive the semester and it'll get better. but you never know.
the topic change can't come soon enough, though.
of course it's a mocha; yejun can't help but think that the drink suits namu. it's sweet, it's classic, and pretty much everyone likes them. and if he remembers correctly, the other boy has always been a big chocolate person. yejun likes it on occasion too, though not nearly as much as some people. "that's okay," he feels bad when namu offers him too much, like he's unable to repay his hospitality somehow. "maybe later if i'm really falling asleep on this textbook. i don't need it yet," he half-jokes, a smile still playing across his lips.
"did you make any of the seasonal drinks this year?" it's simple curiosity, no deeper question other than making conversation, and yejun can exist comfortably in this space. namu likes to talk, as evidenced by his whole spiel about their seasonal drinks and all the different fun things that they're making. yejun's happy to just listen, to let the younger man monopolize the energy and the space between them. he doesn't have to think too much, a welcome reprieve from his homework. "like, is there any namu special i should be trying?"
he manages a laugh, dragged out of him somewhat by surprise as the other demands all of his best ideas immediately. how is yejun supposed to tell him that he actually has none? "one billion won," he responds, clearly not serious about the figure thrown out there. "per hour," he adds, a grin on his face. "that's how valuable my expertise is. right?" he chuckles for a second time, mostly just to let the other know that he's being humorous more than serious. he could do with a wad of cash right now, but he's not going to take it from a kid who seems like he would trust him with the world.
it's something that people feel, namu understands that. but, he doesn't think anyone should wish for an early grave. so, he always did his best to try to reassure them, to try to help; he knows it's something that's a little small, he's just a small piece of helping in life. but, he could at least do something, right? even if maybe he doesn't fully understand, like you could say he doesn't fully understand yejun's situation - even though he's doing his best to try. nonetheless, namu was definitely one of the lucky ones. he had done extremely well on his college entrance exam, managing to get into a place like yonsei because of it. though, he simply dropped out after a few months because it wasn't for him and he also, almost, didn't fit in with the whole thing. so, he had decided to focus completely on chasing his dreams and he got support from his family - something that a lot of people don't get. he understands that he's lucky, privileged in that sense. at least he didn't have to worry about grades, right? at least, he probably would have done rather well if namu did enjoy college, after all. but, that's okay, because he's working towards being a singer! the thing that he wanted the most in life, the path he knows he's supposed to take.
he raises a brow for a moment as he listened. "oh... yeah," he said, shrugging his shoulders. "you shouldn't have to lose out on family dinner or having to move out," namu says, before giving another firm nod. "i guess you're going to have to continue then?" he says, even though he probably didn't need to say it because it was obvious. but, of course, leave it to namu to say the obvious. but, that was the reality for most when it comes to adulthood, right? "if you ever need to get away for a little bit though, you could always come to stay with us!" namu says, before a small giggle would leave his lips afterwards; smile all that wide once more.
"it's a mocha!" he says. "mochas are my favorite coffee drink," he explains. "do you want one? i can make another," namu is sure to offer, much in park namu fashion. anything that involved chocolate, it had always been namu's favorite, truth be told. though, he really likes savory a lot too. chocolate and savory foods, those were always his two top favorite types of food, that's definitely for sure. he nodded his head, "we make a pumpkin type of latte for the autumn season. we also have a hand made persimmon tea that we do as well when the temperature drops and the persimmons come in season," he explains as well. "oh! we also do a lot of cinnamon and spices for speciality drinks, my uncle and aunt really like doing the speciality drinks. i do as well, they're actually lots of fun to make when you have it down!" his uncle and aunt definitely have a creative flow that they use to come up with drinks that are just rather special to the café and that work really well together. lots of people always come for their speciality drinks - though, namu does make a ton of americanos, that's for sure.
he nodded his head again, a chuckle leaving his lips once more. "i'll pay you whatever rate you deem necessary!" he states. "if you have any ideas you need to give me now, just tell me and i'll fork over the money!"

FIVE TIMES — A. SHOUTA
Summary : Five times the staff of U.A. and Class 1-A tried to get the two of you together but then realized you were together all along.
Warning(s): Immense fluff! Also tiny-weeny bit of smut.
The First Time: The time 1-A started shipping the two of you together
"Today we will be joining by the pro-hero H/n to help you learn more about tactics and planning." Aizawa stated in his usual monotone voice as he motioned for you to go in. You walked to the podium with a smile as you saw the faces of the students of 1-A upon hearing and seeing that you were here. It amazed you that Aizawa didn't even expel someone this year, they must be one hell of a bunch if that's the case. "You can ask her any questions within reason. Be quick." Rolling your eyes at Aizawa, you placed a hand on your hip as you looked at him.
"At least act like you're glad to work with me, Eraserhead." You pouted. "Anyways, I'm the pro-hero H/n! My name is L/n Y/n and I look forward to working with you guys! Especially since you're like the only class he hadn't expelled anyone." You snickered at the end, eyeing Aizawa from the corner of your eye. His left eye twitched as he shot you a glare which was a signal that you should just fucking continue.
"Any questions?" As soon as the words left your mouth almost all of the hands of the students shot up. You gladly answered all the questions they have for you like: what's your quirk, does it have drawbacks, what's it like to work with all might and yadda yadda yadda. For the last question, you pointed to a girl with pink skin and horns coming out of her head.
"Are you single?" If you were new to the hero scene, you would have certainly be flustered as hell but fortunately, you had been asked this question tons of times especially since you are a female hero. You nodded your head as Aizawa scolded Ashido—that was her last name—telling her that it was your personal business and that she shouldn't be nosy on other people's lives. You waved dismissively at Aizawa and told the class that you were used to questions like that so it doesn't bother you anymore that much.
"Well, okay then!" You clapped. "Get into your hero costumes and we'll be waiting for you on the training grounds!" You smiled as you ushered Aizawa outside the room, 1-A curiously staring at the way the two of you interact.
Their teacher doesn't seem to react like he usually does around you, he was even going with the flow of your antics, he even flicked your forehead at one point with a smirk! And what the fuck—was that a small smile, they saw? They were clearly confused about how the fuck did you have that kind of effect on him. Even Present Mic wouldn't get that reaction from him so what made you any different?
"Ms. L/n and Mr. Aizawa looks cute together." And with those words that came from Uraraka's mouth, 1-A's surprised looks—not all of them were surprised nor spared a glance at their teachers interacting—were replaced with knowing ones as they looked at each other clearly knowing what to do.
"I oppose to this, as Mr. Aizawa said—" But even with Iida scolding them they just continued with their plan anyway. Surprisingly Yaoyaorozu even put opinions on the plan with Todoroki nodding every once in a while, agreeing with her.
"Hurry up, future heroes! We don't have all day!" You exclaimed as you noticed that they were still in the room making Aizawa sigh. The students fastened their pace as they went to the changing rooms, after quickly agreeing to the plan.
"Hey Ms. L/n. Mr. Aizawa is super manly right?" Kirishima suddenly said to you once Aizawa took on the students as the 'villain' for the training they had for today. You looked over to Aizawa and immediately agreed with Kirishima. Not only manly with his looks, Aizawa was also manly when it comes to his personality. He was selfless, kind and passionate about what he was doing. He was so goddamn manly alright.
You hummed in agreement as your attention went from Aizawa to Kirishima who had a strange look on his face. "It's a shame though. Someone manly as Mr. Aizawa is single." You raised a brow at his statement. What was he implying?
"I'm sure Shouta will find love when we wants to. Though i'm sure the day he wants to find love is the day he wants to die." You giggled at your statement as Kirishima mentally face-palmed. Did you not get what he meant by that? For a hero, that went over your head quickly which surprised him.
"Maybe Mr. Aizawa needs someone to show him love if that's the case then." You smiled at the statement, clearly sensing the concern his student has for his teacher. Although he was pushing this topic, you didn't mind. He was true, Aizawa needs someone to show his hard ass some fucking love every once in a while.
"I'm sure he'll find that someone soon enough. Though i'm under the impression that he'll end up with Present Mic." Kirishima couldn't help but laugh at your statement. It was quite true though, at first the whole class 1-A thought that Aizawa was hella gay for Yamada. His laugh caught the eye of Aizawa who just shot you a look of disapproval, to which you just shrugged.
Kirishima excused himself from the heroine then walked towards his friends as he shook his head. The group frowned at the signal and just waited for their turn to take on Mr. Aizawa.
The Second Time: Yamada and Nemuri's great plan
"You should really take care of yourself Shouta." You nagged, Shouta just grunting and groaning at your nagging. "Don't grunt at me mister, you can't live on jelly packs forever!"
The duo watched as the of you bickered back and forth about you being a hypocrite as you were living on coffee all the fucking time and you defending yourself from him everytime. If a stranger came in through the door they would've guessed that the two of you are an old married couple fighting over each other's well being.
"Can you two fucking stop and just fuck already? The tension around you is very fucking high." Kayama intervened making the two of them abruptly stop. Aizawa shot Kayama a death glare while you blushed, quickly looking away so that they would not notice it but it was too late though, Hizashi saw and smirked.
Though Kayama used the wrong choice of words, there was indeed a tension around the two of you that they couldn't exactly pinpoint. They were tired of the said tension and just want their otp to be together forever and ever.
"Shut up, Nemuri. We're just friends! Friends that are looking out for each other!" You defended yourself earning an 'are-you-fucking-kidding-me' look from both Hizashi and Kayama. Are you that fucking dense? With you they never know.
"Yeah, yeah and i'm not loud all the fucking time. Sure Y/n." Hizashi stated earning a deadpanned look from Aizawa who decided not to say something because he knows this conversation will just get longer if he did and he wasn't exactly in the mood for that.
"Again, shut up the both of you." You groaned as you retreated back to your desk that was just beside Toshinori's who shot you a knowing look which you just dismissed. Of course Toshinori just had to look at you like that. He knows something they clearly don't and knows that someday you will have to tell them and you didn't want that someday to be today so you just plastered on a look that says 'No-Toshinori-Just-Shut-Up' which made him focus on his computer.
Kayama and Hizashi glanced at each other before walking towards you. You already know they had something planned when they approached you, their faces filled with mischief.
"... What do you want now?" You sighed through your nose. "Well, we were planning to go out for drinks later. Want to come? Shouta will come too, right Shouta?"
"No." Aizawa declined quickly upon hearing their preposition. Aizawa even though declining knew that Kayama and Hizashi wasn't gonna let him slide away that quickly. Just the thought of drunk Hizashi and Kayama made his head hurt.
"See? Shouta is coming! So what do you say?" Seeing as there was no way you were gonna avoid this, you just nodded and told them to go away quickly returning to your work. You really don't want to go but it was Hizashi and Kayama we're talking about.
"Hey! Hey! Hey! We're gonna have some fun later!"
—
"What happened to 'Hey! Hey! Hey! We're gonna have some fun later?'" You mocked Hizashi as you stood outside the restaurant with Aizawa waiting for the two that had just announced that they couldn't make it because of something with the school—which was obviously a fucking lie.
Aizawa—who was clearly not in a good mood—grunted and left without a word, leaving you there on the side walk alone. If he had been in a good mood he would've invited you inside to eat together and maybe even chuckle at your poor attempt at mocking Hizashi's voice but no that wasn't the case and instead he left you there with a fucking frown on your face. What a fucking gentleman, Aizawa is.
"He's so grumpy especially when he got no sleep." You pouted, taking your phone out and quickly plugging it into your headphones. "What an old man. He didn't even say goodbye nor walk me home." You mumbled as you started walking to the direction of your home after pressing on your go to playlist.
As 'The Ballad of Mona Lisa' by Panic! at the Disco came on, you smiled. This was a playlist that you made back for your 'emo phase' which Aizawa surprisingly liked. You weren't surprised though as he looked emo 24/7.
From behind the bushes on the other side of the road, the pair watched what happened and groaned. "'This will definitely work out' you said. Look genius, did it work out? No."
"It wasn't my fault they didn't take the bait! Don't blame me all for it Nemuri! Blame them too for being so fucking oblivious to their own fucking feelings!" And with that they continued to bicker like siblings, earning the attention of passersby. They didn't care though—when did they really care?
"Midnight? Present Mic? What are you doing over here?" Their bickering caught the attention of Iida, Midoriya and Uraraka as they walked to the station, clearly they weren't surprised that they were so fucking loud in the middle of the street because that's Present Mic and Midnight for you but they were confused as to why they were squabbling behind the bushes. Bushes, of all places.
"Nothing! We weren't spying or anything! Hehe..." Hizashi 'defended' making it look more obvious than it really is. The trio blinked at his statement, pros are like this these days? Geez.
"Fine! We were spying!" Hizashi gave in to the looks that were thrown at him by the dekusquad, them making a mental note to not say anything crucial to Hizashi fearing that he has loose lips. (He does have loose lips.)
"Who are you spying on? Was it Ms. L/n and Mr. Aizawa? We saw them on the way here but noticed that they went on their separate ways quickly." Uraraka stated. "Oh! Were they on a date?"
"Did our plan work?!" Midoriya exclaimed catching the attention of the two pro-heroes. Did 1-A ship the two of you too? They even planned something before the two of them! Damn, kids nowadays. They move fast.
"You guys had a plan too?" Hizashi asked and with that the two parties decided to do something for the two completely oblivious people in their lives.
The Third Time: In which 1-A, Hizashi and Kayama joined forces
"Goodbye Eraserhead!" Hizashi practically pushed Aizawa out the door as Midnight emerged from the other door minutes after. Most of 1-A were curious and confused as to why two pro-heroes were here for English but they just guessed that even Present Mic can have problems with English too.
"Alright, today we are gonna be joined by pro hero Midnight because we all have important matters to discuss." Hizashi stated slowly as a grin began to grow on his face. "We are gonna plan how Y/n and Shouta will confess to each other! Yeah!" Almost all of the students cheered because their teachers also shipped the two of them—and partially because no english yey—while some of them sighed asking themselves that this was important than english? They just went with the flow anyway, couldn't hurt to skip one lesson right?
"Now do you guys have suggestions?" Immediately upon asking that dozens of hands shot up, the faces of the students eager to share what they want to suggest. Yaoyorozu even raised her hand which was hella surprising.
"I suggest that they should just confess but in a manly way!" Kirishima's answer was broad yes but it gave Ashido an idea. "Oh! Maybe trap them in a room until they manly confess to each other!" Kirishima and Ashido high fived after, happy about their suggestion.
"Just fucking send them on a mission to kill each other—" Before Bakugo could even finish his suggestion, Aoyama cut in flashing his signature weird pose. "Bonjour! I suggest that we send them on a vacation, to France!"
"Bakugo's suggestion is too violent and Aoyama's is too expensive." Asui pointed out the obvious, her tongue sticking out from her mouth.
"Shut up Frogface! I wasn't asking your fucking opinion!" Bakugo responded to the future frog hero. They were surprised that Bakugo even threw in his suggestion in the first place—even though it was violent—let alone be annoyed at Asui's opinion.
"Make Mr. Aizawa or Ms. L/n jealous!" Cliché but there was a chance it could work. Sero hummed in agreement with Kaminari. It worked with some movies so it should work with them right?
Meanwhile Uraraka, Iida and Midoriya were brainstorming, not listening to what others were suggesting and asking Yaoyorozu and Todoroki for their opinions about what they have thought about. Once they've got the go signal for them to share their suggestion, Iida raised his hand and stood up. "I suggest that a certain student should use his quirk on them." Iida adjusted his glasses on the bridge of his nose as Kayama asked who the student was. "Shinsou Hitoshi."
"We could brainwash the other to confess to the other one! Nice!" Hizashi exclaimed giving Iida is signature finger guns. "Any other suggestions?" Tons of other ideas came around until they reached the decision by the end of the class.
"Well then, it's settled! We move after lunch!" And with that Hizashi and Kayama left, the students clearly excited about what's to come. Would they plan succeed? Only a few more hours to find out.
—
"Shinsou! Shinsou!" Midoriya called out to Shinsou who he luckily spotted walking towards Lunch Rush. The boy turned around and was shocked to even see not only Midoriya but almost all of Class 1-A running after him which made him tilt his head to the side. Why were they after him?
"Shinsou, we need you for something." Iida quickly explained what they needed him for catching him off guard as he smirked. Were they really that oblivious to the situation that they've gone such long heights just for the two of you? Well since Shinsou doesn't have anything to do anyways he decided to agree, at least this was gonna be fun.
"Sure. Where are they?" Shinsou asked, 1-A quickly and gladly giving him the information he needed.
They waved at Shinsou as they watched his back go further and further away. Kaminari wiped a non-existant tear on his face, "Damn. He's braver than the marines."
"He really is."
Shinsou took no time in finding you and Shouta since the two of you were together anyways. Shinsou understood why 1-A wanted the two of you together because damn you looked cute together. You and Aizawa could be that crime fighting couple that make the villains tremble with fear. The two of you would kick a lot of ass and take a lot of names together especially with your quirk.
"Good afternoon Ms. L/n and Mr. Aizawa." Shinsou greeted the both of you cutting yours and Aizawa's conversation short. "Can I excuse Ms. L/n for a while, sir?" Aizawa was confused as to why his student approached them and he grew even more confused when he asked him that. Aizawa nodded weakly as he watched Shinsou and you talk from afar. He noticed the way you interact with the kid and vice versa but failed to notice Shinsou using his quirk on Y/n.
"Goodbye, Ms. L/n." And with that Shinsou left, not wanting to see his mentor's reaction when he finds out that he used his quirk on Y/n. Shinsou knew his mentor would be furious but it's all gonna be worth it.
Class 1-A though wanted to see both of your reactions as they hid behind the two of them. This was finally it, they could feel it. Finally the day came where they were gonna see their otp come true. They waited in anticipation as you walked back to Aizawa.
"Hey Shouta, want to go out sometime?" And with that the effect of Shinsou's quirk vanished, leaving you confused. What the actual fuck happened?
"Wait—what? What happened?" You blinked as Aizawa sighed, clearly knowing what happened to you.
"Shinsou used his quirk on you." Aizawa sighed as he rubbed his temples. "Hurry up. We don't want to waste time." Aizawa said as he walked away, leaving you there. Clearly someone is grumpy today too.
"Wha—Hey Shouta! Wait for me, you old man!" You caught up to him quickly as you resumed your previous conversation.
1-A's hopeful looks were replaced with disappointed ones. Time for Plan B then.
The Fourth Time: Plan B a.k.a lock them in a room and hope that Shouta doesn't kill his students, Hizashi and Kayama
"Shouta! Shouta! We need you for something!" Hizashi screamed at Aizawa who just woke up from his nap. Rubbing his eyes, Aizawa let out an irritated sigh. What could they possibly want right now? It was too early for this bullshit. (Although it was past noon. But still, early for Shouta.)
"What is it, Yamada?" He asked, his usual monotone voice had a hint of irritation in it. "Well, Bakugo and Midoriya—" Aizawa paid no mind in letting Hizashi finish as the two names of those trouble makers were stated. He got up as Hizashi accompanied him to where the trouble was happening.
"Damn those problem children." Aizawa muttered under his breath. Just how many times do they have to fucking fight? Did they not learn after the last one? If that's the case then he got to drill it to their mind then.
"Where is it Hizashi?" He turned to face Hizashi who was now missing from his spot next to Aizawa. Aizawa looked around for any signs of Hizashi but found none, when did he disappear?
Aizawa sighed then decided to just walk back to the teacher's lounge. If this was a prank then he wasn't having any of it. He just wasted time and instead could've get grading done. Hizashi was gonna get it later.
Before he could even leave a force pushed him back to a dark room. He didn't expect that to happen. Was it a villain attack? He furrowed his eyebrows, no it's not a villain attack. If it was the alarms could've rang off. But what if they have a quirk that can silence the alarms? No, they have Present Mic he could've easily be the alarm.
So what was happening?
"Hey man, whoever the fuck you are. Can you like move? You're in my personal space." An oh so familiar voice told him making him sigh. Of course, it was another one of Hizashi's poor attempts on getting the two of them together. "Wait, I know that sigh." You stated before calling out to him. "Shouta? What are you doing here?"
"Since when were you trapped in here, Y/n?" Aizawa ignored your previous question as he searched for the light switch. You could've been there for like minutes before hin right?
"To be honest, I don't know how long i've been here for." This made Aizawa raise an eyebrow at her, if there had been a light you would've hit him in the shoulder already but thankfully there wasn't. He kept fucking searching for the light switch until he found one which was near the fucking door like all light switches were. When they finally had light they realized where they were.
A janitor's closet. Great, just so great. This was so clichè.
"Why didn't you use your quirk then?" You opened your mouth to defend yourself but closed it quickly. "Well... hehehe."
"You took a nap here didn't you." You scratched the back of your neck as you smiled sheepishly at Aizawa. It was true, you had infact taken a nap in the janitor's closet but in your defense you were so tired from the heroics class—you were used as the human punching bag—and was in desperate need of refulling your lost energy. So who could blame you for doing that?
"I was tired, ok. My eyes closed before I could even process it being closed!"
Aizawa let out a tch. You were an adult goddmanit. So why were you doing things like this?
"I'm kicking the door down." Aizawa stated before looking at you who already had your eyes closed. "Y/n."
"You go, do you." You stiffled a yawn with the back of your hand. "That nap still wasn't enough." You layed back down, exhaustion evident on your pretty face. Aizawa looked at you before deciding to lay down beside you and grunt at the lack of space.
"Wha—What are you doing?"
"Move. You're squishing me." You complied deciding not to protest. Good thing you both don't have classes to teach that afternoon or else you both would've been screwed.
Aizawa made himself comfortable beside you and instinctively wrapped a protective arm around you making you blush and scoot closer to him. He was radiating a nice warmth and had an aura of protectiveness around him which made you feel at home as you closed your eyes.
"I though you were going to kick down the door?" You lightly snickered at the end of your statement.
"I got tired." Of course, he was always tired anyways. After a few minutes of silence, you let the darkness envelop you in a welcoming hug and with that, the both of you fell asleep on each other's arms. Clearly not knowing about the crowd that was on the other side of the door, listening to everything they say.
"Do you hear anything Jirou?" She shooked her head as an answer. "Let's wait a few more minutes then." The few more minutes turned into a few hours as they all began to worry.
"Are they dead?" Kaminari asked from the back. 1-A's eyes widened as they realized Kaminari could be right. The both of you could've suffocated in there but wouldn't Aizawa get the both of you out minutes after being locked in there?
"Maybe they're having some fun!" Kayama exclaimed making their worried faces turn into disgust. If they were 'having some fun' they would've heard especially with a quirk like Jirou's.
"Let's just break them out and hope that Shouta would not kill us." And with that they opened the lock, only to reveal a sleeping you with Aizawa. Your legs were tangled together as you laid your head on his chest, both of you breathing evenly. They all let out a sigh of relief that the both of you didn't die—and because Aizawa wouldn't kill them instantly on the spot—and let the two of you be with frowns plastered on their faces after taking a few (hundred) pictures of course.
They were confused. How the fuck did that not work? It was perfect! Well, atleast for them. They failed once again but that doesnmt mean that they'll give up that easily! It's time to move to Plan C and they know the perfect person for the job.
The Fifth Time: Make Aizawa jealous
"Thank you for doing this Tensei." You thanked Iida as you wheeled him towards 1-A's heroic's class. "It really means so much to me, to us."
"Nah, it's no problem! I wanted to see Tenya in action and U.A. Feels nostalgic, you know?" You nodded clearly knowing what he meant by that. When you first started teaching at U.A.—by Midnight's recommendation—tons of memories quickly bombarded you as soon as you stepped inside the school grounds like how you met Aizawa and Hizashi, your first sports festival and etc. It was all nostalgic to you that you almost teared up just by how far you and your classmates have gone.
"I miss U.A." He pouted. "And I miss you too!"
"Aww, I miss you too Tensei."
"Plus, who would decline a proposal from a pretty girl from you?" Iida's voice suddenly began louder as he stated that when the two of you arrived in front of 1-A's room. You giggled at his statement and stretched your hand to open the door but before you could Aizawa already opened the door for the both of you.
"Thanks, Eraserhead!" You wheeled Iida in, clearly in a good mood to see another one of your best friends again. If you had the time you would certainly visit Iida but you were pretty busy nowadays and the only way you can communicate with him is through texts which was obviously not enough.
"Alright-y then. Shall we start?" You asked the pro-heroes beside you with a smile. As the pro-heroes explained, 1-A could sense how uncomfortable Iida was. Of course he would be uncomfortable. His brother was gonna flirt with his teacher for fucks sake. Who could blame him?
"Time for Plan C! Make Aizawa jealous!!" Hizashi announced once homeroom was over and Aizawa was out of earshot. "Normally it was make L/n jealous but since Ms. Joke is not available, we changed it to 'make Aizawa jealous!'" Hizashi rambled on as Kayama appeared, seducingly emerging from the door.
"Yes Iida?" Hizashi called Iida as his hand shot up instantly after hearing the words slip out from the english teacher's mouth. "May I ask who is the person we are gonna ask to make Mr. Aizawa jealous?"
"Great question, Iida!" Hizashi and Kayama shared a look before laughing. "Iida. Can you call your brother?" Hizashi asked in between laughs. Iida froze at his teacher's request, his eyes widening.
"Eh?! Ingenium?!" The class roared out clearly surprised at who they chose. "May I ask why my brother?"
"Again, good question Iida!" This time it was Kayama who spoke up. "Tensei is and I quote Y/n's bestest friend besides us. I remember how close they were when we were in high school! Some even thought they were dating but in truth they weren't. They're just good friends, very good friends at that."
"I remember Y/n even babysitted you Iida!" Iida blushed in embarrassment, did she really? Well he was a baby at that time, he wouldn't remember it now.
"Let's start planning!" And with that 1-A—not all of them though Bakugo and Todoroki seemed interested—clustered around the podium where the planning began. A lot of ideas were given out and a lot were sadly rejected but that didn't bring their spirits down as more ideas came after.
"Well then! Give your brother a call Iida! Tell him about the plan and i'll tell Y/n about heroic's class tomorrow! Surely Iida will be the perfect candidate for that!" And with that Hizashi and Kayama dismissed them feeling proud of what they've done and accomplished.
"Are you sure this will work? Shouta seems to be like the type who doesn't get jealous." At first glance Aizawa isn't a man to be possesive over something so this plan may be a bust but Hizashi knows his best friend better than Kayama, he was sure as hell Aizawa will get jealous once Iida starts flirting with you.
"Oh, just trust me Nemuri! This will work out!" Kayama quirked a brow at him then decided to just trust Hizashi, he knows a lot more about you and Aizawa after all.
"Now that all of that is done, please wear your hero costumes and go outside!" Before Aizawa could even speak to you, you wheeled Iida out already engaged in a conversation with him. You didn't even bother to spare a glance at Aizawa as you talked with Iida, immediately catching up to what's happening with him these past few days. He slipped in a few compliments—that he made sure Aizawa heard—and comments about you that made you giggle.
Toshinori felt the same tension again. He looked at Aizawa only to find him staring at Iida and you but mostly you. Toshinori almost let out a laugh seeing Aizawa's expression when Iida flirted with you and could only guess that this was a work done by Hizashi and Kayama because Iida would never like you in that way, he made it clear when you were in high school.
"Thank you again for inviting me, Y/n. Brings back good memories." You smiled widely at Iida and told him that it was no problem, after all he was a pro-hero like her and pro-heroes help each other out.
"I was wondering, would you like to go out sometime?" Aizawa's eye twitched once Iida asked the question. He was irritated that you didn't even told Iida off when he was clearly flirting with you and most of all he was annoyed by the fact that you agreed on his proposal, asking him what time and when. That was the last straw for Aizawa and Toshinori could sense something blunt and sharp coming.
"Are you both done flirting? We have a class to teach so I suggest you wrap things up and proceed to the gym." You were taken aback by Aizawa's outburst but then moments later you smirked. Was he jealous? Aizawa walked past the two—like he was in a hurry—leaving the three of them dumbfounded.
"What was that about?" Iida asked you feigning confusion but on the inside he was proud at the outcome of his work. He got Aizawa jealous and that was a rare occassion.
"I have a feeling somebody has their period today." You joked making the two of them—yes even Toshinori—laugh but on the inside you know you were screwed. Aizawa was gonna give you the cold shoulder from then on and you knew it.
When all of you arrived at the gym, 1-A and Iida (Tensei) waited for anything to happen but... nothing. Nothing happened except for the little outburst from Aizawa earlier. They even waited after school hours when they were at the faculty room but no, no, no. Still nothing.
"I'm sorry guys." Hizashi and Kayama practically slumped over upon hearing Iida's apology. Their last plan failed once again but they had hoped it gave them the push to say something, anything to each other.
Little did they know, they confessed to each other years back, when they were still in high school.
When Hizashi and Kayama found out
Hizashi and Kayama still didn't give up after many failed attempts so when they had another plan they went to your office, excited about the upcoming events.
"I sure hope this fucking work or else i'm gonna smash their skulls together." Kayama grunted as she pushed the door of your office open and what they saw left their mouths hanging.
Moments before the two of them walked in on you and Aizawa making out, Aizawa had confronted you about what happened earlier with Iida (Tensei). Of course he was jealous and to make things worse you poke fun of him because of it.
He got angry but didn't even dared to raise his voice at you because he wanted to solve this in the rational and logical way possible and you knew that. After all those years of knowing him and vice versa, both of you learned to adapt to each other's needs. For example if Aizawa came home stressed, you'll know it before he even informs you and makes him everything he needs and more. Also, if you're feeling down he'll know to talk to you about it instead of leaving you to cool down because he'll know you'll bottle it up until you can no longer surpress it. There was even this one time where Aizawa tried to hide his worries from you but you knew him, the real him and you instantly knew that something was wrong. Turns out it was just his nerves from asking you something life changing.
"Shouta." You called him, placing your fingers under his chin making him look at you. "You know that I will never do that right? Tensei meant go out as friends. Besides I know what was behind his flirting all this time." Aizawa's piercing gaze softened upon seeing your face. You wrapped your arms around his midsection making him sigh and returning the gesture.
"I know. I'm sorry. I just got... possesive." You giggled at his statement. Although it resulted in an argument seeing him jealous gave off a sexy vibe from him which you incredibly loved—you'll never admit it openly but knowing Aizawa he probably knows by now.
"I'm sorry for being angry." His voice was soft as he uttered the words that made you smile. This was the side that you only get to see, warming your heart as you hugged him tighter. You were glad to see this side of Aizawa, you were glad to see that he trusts enough to put down his walls and let you through, you were glad—heck beyond glad even.
The next moments were a bit blur to you as it started with just a simple kiss filled with passion from you and Aizawa but when his kisses became a little heated that's when things really started. He bit your lip making you gasp earning him an entrance to your mouth as your tongues fought for dominance, Aizawa clearly being the winner.
Back to present time, Aizawa pinned you against the wall, his hands on your waist as he began attacking your neck with kisses making you ran a hand through his hair, your fingers threading through his raven locks.
Was this real? You didn't know. You were sure you were dreaming right now or perhaps in heaven. But nope, this was the reality. The reality you love. The reality that Aizawa Shouta, 1-A's homeroom teacher, underground hero, pro-hero Eraserhead was your husband.
Yup, this shaggy hobo looking man was your husband. No one really knew except for your families and Toshinori who happened to stumble upon the two of you just like this except that the two of you were in the hospital that time.
Aizawa bit the sensitive spot on your neck, the both of you still not noticing the presence of the duo that kept bugging you and Aizawa to just confess and get together. Too ingrossed in your activities, you didn't even hear their footsteps.
"Oh my god!" Hizashi screeched making the two of you break apart as you stared at Hizashi and Kayama with wide eyes. Holy shit, you were found out now and they found out while the two of you were making out. Fucking making out. Why now out of all the days you were making out with Shouta?
"What do you guys want? Can't you see i'm busy with my wife?" Aizawa nonchalantly stated as his face showed irritation. He wasn't irritated at the fact that Hizashi and Kayama finally knew, he was irritated at the fact that Hizashi and Kayama disturbed the two of them while they were in the middle of something good.
You on the other hand was shocked at what Aizawa just informed the two loud mouths and blushed upon seeing the two of them stared at you with those fucking knowing looks. Oh boy, there was no way of escape now.
After 5 years he decided to tell them like it was not a big deal at all but you knew Aizawa cared, he always did. He just want the two of them to shut up but that wasn't the case. Upon hearing what Aizawa said, the two of them squealed.
"Wife?! Did Shouta just say wife?!" Hizashi was practically crying now, telling the world how proud he was of his best friend. "When did the wedding happen?! Why were we not invited?!"
"It happed five years ago Hizashi, and Shouta and I just wanted a small wedding with close family only. I hope you understand." You sheepishly smiled at the two of them.
"I guess we'll leave you two now." Kayama said with a wink as she dragged Hizashi out of the office. "Use protection, kids!"
Just seconds after the door closed, Aizawa who was still pressing you on the wall asked with a smirk, "I don't think we even need protection. Now where were we?"
Oh boy, let's just say that neither of you did your work the whole night and just did each other instead.
"Y/n! Are you ok? You should go to Recovery Girl! Your neck is full of bruises!" Hizashi 'innocently' screamed out in the teacher's lounge earning the attention of all the pro-hero teachers currently in said lounge.
Your face grew red as they stared at you. Of course Hizashi had to notice the marks Aizawa left as a 'remembrance' of the night before and of course he just had to scream it out loud in a room filled with people. You were glad though that he hadn't proclaimed it infront of the students because that will be even more embarrassing—atleast for you.
You secretly flipped the bird to Aizawa who just chuckled then wrapped his capture weapon around his neck even more, hiding the endless amount of love bites placed there.
"Oh! Shouta! You have them too! Are you both ok?! Do you have allergies or something?!" Hizashi yelled out. With a smirk you looked over to Aizawa once again as he grunted and swatted Hizashi away but it was too late now. The whole faculty knows by now as their gazes were placed on you then to Aizawa and vice versa.
Needless to say, the next day was full of teasing and belated congratulations from the two and the staff—with the two of them word spreads quickly—which they had to endure.
When 1-A found out
"As heroes, your goal is to not only fight off villains but to rescue and protect the civillians as well. You should remember that. Especially you Bakugo." The boy scoffed at his teacher's words as he looked away which Aizawa knew was a sign that Bakugo acknowledged his words. "Today we are—" a knock cut Aizawa's sentence making him sigh. Who could it possibly be?
Aizawa walked to the door slowly as his students anticipated who could the visitor be. Could it be a pro-hero? Yes, that could be it but their teacher didn't mention any training with another pro-hero today. So, who was it?
Aizawa opened the door slightly and was face to face with his lovely wife standing there with a huge smile on her face. Aizawa made a mental note that he should wear sunglasses everytime his wife beams at him with that big smile, it was too bright for him seeing as you were the literal sunshine but Aizawa didn't protest though, seeing that smile of yours instantly refreshed him and gave him energy. But why the hell were you here? Lunch isn't near and he was sure as hell that you took a sick leave due to you feeling ill for the past few days. So what brought you here exactly?
"Hi Shouta!!!" You greeted him loudly earning the attention of the students. You didn't mean to say that so loud but excitement was kicking in and you felt very happy at that time, incredibly happy even. You felt that you could solve the crisis involving world peace just with your happiness and that was an understatement.
"Miss L/n?!" The students panicked, you were here? They sweated nervously as they were reminded about the homework they had to do. In truth they hadn't done it yet because they were incredibly busy so seeing you outside their classroom made their hearts race. "But what are you doing here Ms. L/n? I thought you were sick!"
You sighed clearly knowing what the fuss was about. "Mina, I am sick but I need to excuse your teacher for some important matters and it's ok if you hadn't done your homework yet but make sure to submit it on or before friday next week." The students let relieved noises as soon as they heard the last statement but Aizawa was more focused on the 'I need to excuse your teacher for some important matters' part. Was there somethimg wrong?
"All right. Iida, control your classmates. I'll be going outside for a moment." And with that Aizawa closed the door behind him before dragging you as far as possible from the eavesdropping students. Your statement made him worried as millions of logical probabilities rushed through his head, one probabilty standing out than the most.
Were you gonna ask for a divorce? Aizawa hoped that, that wan't the case.
"You're not gonna ask for divorce, are you?" Aizawa hesitantly voiced his thoughts, earning a blank look from you. What made Aizawa think that?
"Shouta." You called while placing the palm of your hand on his cheek, him leaning into your touch almost instantly. "What made you think that I'm gonna ask you for divorce?"
Shouta opened his mouth to tell you all the logic behind his question but was immediately cut off by you, "Don't ever doubt yourself or us, Shouta. I love you as you love me so that will not be happening." Aizawa felt relieved but the bugging feeling didn't go away as the question in his mind remained unanswered. Why were you here then?
"I'm here because of good news not bad news." You stated, your smile returning to your face. Aizawa could tell that this smile was brighter and bigger than the last one so it gave him the fact that you were incredibly happy at the moment because of said news. "Well atleast it's good news for me."
"What is it?" You could feel your excitement coming out an in instant once he asked you the question you've been waiting for him to say. You happily dug through your mess of a bag to reveal a stick to him with a plus sign on the center.
A stick with a plus sign.
A plus sign.
Aizawa's eyes widened as he stared lovingly at the stick you were holding. You waited for his reaction and once you got it you were very much satisfied with the result.
Aizawa placed his large hands on your belly, the stick still on his left hand but he didn't care. Tears welled up in your eyes as you saw his smile mirrored yours—bright, big and clearly expressing how happy he felt at the moment.
"I'm going to be a father." He murmured on your shoulders as he wrapped his arms around you in a tight embrace. You nodded through your tears as Aizawa's grip on you tightened a little—not to the point he's trying to kill you though—clearly not wanting to let go of you. This news made his heart long and beat for you even more.
"I love you." He said with not his usual monotone but a softer voice filled with emotion that he clearly felt for you. "I love that you make me the happiest man on the universe, every fucking day." His confession made you cry even harder, wetting his black hero costume even more but you both didn't care at the moment. You were gonna be a family now. A family. A family that you both wanted. A family that you both will cherish and love until the day death do you apart. A family to care for, look out for. A family that will grow, stay and learn with the both of you.
Oh how excited the both of you are.
"I love you too, Aizawa Shouta." You replied before adding, "I love you so fucking much that my heart hurts with happiness everytime I see or think of you."
Class 1-A didn't mean to eavesdrop once again but they couldn't help but let curiousity kill the cat. They saw the heart fluttering and precious moment between their usually stoic, emotionless teacher and his wife that made them burst out in tears. They were sure their teacher knew they were there but they still kept their cries silent so that it wouldn't interrupt the moment.
That still didn't stop Mina from exclaiming this though.
"Aizawa-sensei and Ms. L/n are married?!" The exclamation earned the attention of the couple as they broke apart, seeing 1-A infront of them with tears on their eyes. "Then all our planning was useless?!" And with that Mina cried harder making you chuckle, not all their plans went to waste though if you could say so yourself.
"Go back to class." Aizawa ordered them with a glare making them shuffle and leave the scene immediately after shouting out a, "Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Aizawa!!"
"They truly are an exceptional bunch huh?" You leaned into Aizawa as he placed an arm around your shoulders. "They are a pain in the ass but they are my pain in the ass."
"Aw! Seeing you act like that for your 20 other kids makes me even more excited that you're gonna have another one." You snickered. "If you're their dad then I'm the mom right?"
"Don't." Aizawa grunted making you laugh.
"What?! It's true though!" Seeing Aizawa's expression made you laugh even more. "Oh don't give me that look Dadzawa."
"Don't call me that."
"Dadzawa!" You stated his new nickname making him sigh.
"You're lucky I put up with you."
"Aren't you supposed to say, 'You're lucky I love you'?" Aizawa shook his head then left you there in the hallway after replying with a, "No. See you at home, Y/n."
Extra:
"Congratulations Dadzawa!" Hizashi and Nemuri exclaimed at the same time once again earning the attention of the whole faculty on them.
"Don't fucking call me that, Yamada."
"Oh please, keep calling him that from now on. I'm sure babyzawa will like that." You chuckled as you kissed Aizawa's cheek before leaving the faculty room. "Goodluck dealing with them Dadzawa!"
Aizawa's eye twitched as he felt the attack coming from Hizashi and Nemuri. Oh boy it's gonna be a long long day today.

Hey everyone! I haven't posted much about idolish7, but I want you to know that it's one of my favorite fandoms, and since the 5th part was announced I want to share my thoughts on the topic based on the pv. Also I have to warn about spoilers for the previous parts and some other stories.
Oh, and one more thing! I haven't read the last anniversary story yet so I don't know if there were any important things and "bridges" to pt5, but as soon as I have time for it I read it and if there will be smth changes my mind I'll let you know.
So starting with Zool members!
MIDOU TORAO
"Someday, it will come true. For now, whatever it is, I'd like to personally experience it"
OR
"Someday it'll come true. But for now, I'll have you experience on how big of a scale it is"
I found two versions of his phrase giving us two totaly different meanings. I don't know which one is the right one since I don't know japanese at all, but I have comments for both.
The first line however stays the same. I guess we're gonna have a new arc for Zool as a group since they have a new manager now (who I'll talk about later), and considering their lost at BoW at the end of pt4 it sounds pretty possible. This ending has shown us that Zool still have to make their way of growing up, becoming independant. So yes, I think this is what we'll get in pt5.
And then next lines clashes. But my main thought on them that we're finally gonna have Torao's personal arc. We had Toma and Haru's in pt3 and Minami's in pt4 while Torao stayed aside for the whole time. We only know his backstory briefly from the AQ story but definitely it was not enough. So it seems that Torao May even become a centric Zool character in pt5 (I have another option for this one however). Maybe we'll even see his family members like his father or elder brother, who was the only person in this family Torao had good relationships with. I really hope this to be true.
Also can't imagine this to be a coincidence that Torao comes the very first. Believe me, there's gonna be some mess with him.
INUMARU TOMA
"Each from different places, we battled, we survived, and we met. And then, we became ZOOL"
OR
"We've all been fighting in different places, survived and met. And then we became ZOOL"
So this are the words of a true leader! These lines sounds like something Toma could say protecting his group and his friends. But protecting from whom exactly? Then again, we'll go to this later=) Also it can be a message for Zool's fans like "look, we all have different stories but we stay strong together". And I feel like this phrase is reffering to the AQ story about ballons which actually were the connecting thread between Zool members back at the time (thanks to that btw I have a trigger for ballons).
But aside everything of this, this is actually a very powerful speech. It shows that Toma would do anything to protect Zool and I guess he could do something thoughtless and stupid in despair (as I believe that something bad is gonna happen to Zool), which, of course, will have its consequences. Also I want Toma to have his own leader arc, like is this role really fits him..? (yeah, I like angst;P)
ISUMI HARUKA
"Up until now, what I wanted to say... There were so many things I wished someone would listen to. I'm glad I'm finally being heard"
OR
"Until now, There's been so much stuff I wanted to talk about... So many things I wanted someone to hear. I'm happy that they can be heard now"
These lines broke my heart. I'm so happy Haru have friends like that now. Friends, who support him, who believe in him, who merely listen to what he has to say.
...And that's why I think Haru would suffer the most in case something bad happens to Zool.
Haru is the youngest group member, he's still a kid, and it's very important for him to have Minami, Toma and Torao around. Not only as friends but also as people he can rely on. He'll never say it out loud though. And I believe these lines could be a part of Haru's personal monologue or just his thoughts. Maybe he's even gonna have some kind of mental breakdown, who knows...
NATSUME MINAMI
"Understood, please leave it to me. I will make a song of revenge to make up for the lost at Black and White"
OR
"Understood. Please leave it to me. I'll compose a song for our revenge at Black or White's return match"
This is the direct refference to pt4 ending, which was already mentioned here. Considering Sakura's death and Minami's motivation for this competition, it has to be really hard for Minami to hold their lost. It's just naturally he, like noone else, wants revenge. But what confuses me is the first word — "understood". Clearly it's an answer to someone else's speech. Maybe Minami was told to create a song which becomes legendary and put Zool on the top of the pedestal. Or maybe it was an answer to the discussion of BoW above Zool members. Anyway it sounds like a challenge Minami decided to accept (the line "leave it to me" proves it).
I guess it could be his new motivation for composing, but somehow I don't think it would be the only one. It could be at the beginning, but not at the end.
~~~~
And I also want to add that it's highly possible we're gonna see more Zool's interactions with other groups. Probably more Minami with Nagi, Haru with Iori and Tamaki, Toma with Mitsu, Yamato or Ryu, Torao with Gaku and etc. And maybe other groups could help Zool with their situation in pt5. I believe we'll get a lot of scenes with sincere conversations between Zool and other groups.
Soooo that's all for Zool (for now at least). I hope I didn't forget or skipped something. Next go Re:vale!
Our Sleeves Were Wet With Tears | Chapter 1
“They both knew that it wouldn’t last, that, come tomorrow, the so undesired feeling of awkwardness would take over them again, to some degree at least. They would pass each other in the corridors and a nod and a smile would be all they might expect; they’d meet at the train station occasionally but fail to exchange more than a few words.
And yet somehow, it was fine. Because for the first time since Taichi’s confession, they could hope that the distance they had built was not that of resentment and sorrow, but of mutual respect and readiness to wait.
It was an agreement.”
A Taichihaya story set directly after the end of season 3. Based on the anime, not the manga.
Read under the cut and on AO3!
Chapter 1
Suddenly, like an explosion, the words Taichi said to me in our first year came back to me.
"Arata will come back someday for sure. Let's get stronger and wait for his return."
Let's get stronger.
Let's wait.
No matter how long it might take or how hard it might be, let's work, let's fight, let's be patient.
That's what Taichi had said, two years ago, as they’d sat on that train and gone home after their meeting with Arata, which only could have been called disastrous at the time. She'd had trouble believing him at first, so big her disappointment had been – so overwhelming the shock she'd felt when their childhood friend had as much as thrown them away from his house, despite all the effort they had put into coming there in the first place. And yet, she couldn't have disregarded his words completely, not with the sight of Arata riding his bike like a madman on the other side of the road and with the calm certainty echoing in Taichi's own voice.
It was his confidence that had made her regain her faith; his quiet presence and stubborn persistence that had prompted her to believe again, to follow the advice she surely would have disregarded if it had been nothing but words.
In a way, she was convinced that even if Arata hadn't shown up on his bike, or if she hadn't seen him for herself, it would have been enough to hear Taichi's comment to make her keep going.
After all, Taichi was never wrong.
She didn't always understand him – in fact, the last few months had shown her how little she did, how many things there were about him that she still couldn't comprehend, or things she had been too blind to notice. His confession to her a few weeks prior had been a blow, only made more painful by the following distancing that had led him all the way to giving up on karuta and their club.
The club they had built from scratch.
Had he really expected her to stay after that?
Her eyes welled up again, as she stared at the photo Arata had sent her – sent them both, she assumed, since it would have made no sense for him not to send it to Taichi as well. No matter how Arata felt about her, or how all of the sudden her two dearest friends had become rivals in more fields than karuta, the fact remained that Arata and Taichi were still friends to one another.
Or at least, she desperately hoped they still thought of each other in those terms.
More tears came and ran swiftly down her cheeks, the bright screen of her phone doing nothing to make her eyes sting any less, but then again, she could hardly bring herself to care. Vaguely aware of the other students standing around her as well as the glances they were currently giving her, she kept looking at the device, at the bright smiles Arata and his new teammates were giving her. They were so glad, so hopeful, so extremely enthusiastic...
They were everything the Mizusawa team had been in the photo she'd sent after they'd qualified for the nationals for the first time, even though she was pretty sure that she'd been crying of happiness in that one.
He will come back someday for sure.
The words came back to her again, once again proving that Taichi's guess hadn't been an incorrect one... Except this time, it was Arata's voice she was hearing and Taichi's name that was being pronounced. It was naive, foolish, even. For all she knew, Arata wasn't even aware that they had left their precious club and therefore, had no intention of going to Omi Jingu like he expected them to.
And yet... There was something about that message, or maybe about the way he looked in the photo that made her nearly certain that he did know, and that this particular email was not sent out to brag. It was meant to remind them of something – to prompt them to take action, just like their visit in Fukui had prompted him to do it before.
He had come back. And so would Taichi, in due time.
And she would let him, without nagging him or pressuring him, without begging him to come back for her sake. Right now, they both needed time to heal; and time she would grant him.
Right after she talked to him one more time.
She was back on her feet in no time, and running towards the library as if her life depended on it. She burst through the door with a force that was as unfitting to the place as it was characteristic of herself, a perfect reverse of her abnormally quiet behaviour that week. She came over to her desk with no hesitation, no waver in her step, and took the bag she'd left there before leaving right after. She missed the amused look the Empress gave her, as well as the proud twinkle of recognition that sparkled in her eyes.
Three minutes later she was out of the room, out of the school, racing towards the train station that was bound to take her to Taichi's home. She made it just in time, red and sweaty, and barely able to breathe, and yet, feeling more glad with herself than she had in the course of those miserable few weeks.
The satisfaction only made her push harder after she'd left the train – she had travelled that distance thousands of times by now and still, she was sure she had never covered it in such a short span.
She had no doubt that Taichi would have called her an idiot for straining herself so badly.
Smiling against the new lump that rose in her throat, Chihaya wiped away the tears that threatened to fall down from her lashes once more and took a deep breath, hoping that her eyes weren't as red as she was afraid they were. After all, the task she was about to commence was not an easy one; she didn't need her appearance to betray her inner state when she tried so hard to keep it concealed.
Especially as she still couldn't be sure who would answer the door this time.
Bracing herself, she took the final step and rang the bell, while simultaneously summoning all of her strength and will in order not to spin on her heel and run away at this most crucial point. She had been determined before, and that particular thing had not changed; however, the longer she waited on the steps of Taichi's house, the more she wondered why she was being made wait in the first place.
If Taichi was home... if he knew it was her and decided to ignore it...
Well, that would have been enough to discourage the fiercest soul, while at the time, Chihaya couldn't feel anything but the opposite of that.
She was vulnerable and she knew it; and the more time had passed, the more afraid she became of how – and when – her weakness might take over her eventually.
Right when she was about to give in to her anxiety and run away for real, the door opened to reveal none other than Taichi's dauntless mother. The sight made Chihaya's head spin a little, but she pulled herself together quickly, for once feeling that her quest was more important than any of the glares or remarks she may receive in return.
Bowing low before her host, she choked out desperately, "Please forgive me for the interruption. I need to see Taichi. Is he at home?"
She knew it was not a perfect greeting and certainly not judging by Mrs. Pressure's sky-high standards. Still, she could not afford more; every word she pronounced made her come closer to breaking apart again, and the last thing she wanted was to make a spectacle of herself before any of the Mashima family members.
She supposed it was inevitable when she finally stood face to face with Taichi, but that was no reason to let herself crumble before that time.
"Taichi is at the cram school, preparing for his exams." Reiko's cold, impassive answer roused her from her musing. "He'll be going there regularly this year. Has he not told you that?"
"I-" Chihaya stuttered ineloquently, which obviously earned her another stern look from Taichi's mother. She shook her head and straightened up, intent on not bringing even more confusion into this already difficult conversation. "I suspected he might be doing that. I know how serious he is about medical school... But the last few weeks have been a little chaotic for us all, so we didn't get to talk much."
Reiko raised an eyebrow at her.
"Chaotic, you say?"
"Yeah – yes."
"And that's what you need to talk to him about?"
Chihaya felt her heart speed up – the feeling all the more unexpected as at the same time, she could swear her blood had run ice cold in her veins – however, she remained unmoved. Gathering her courage once again, she raised her gaze to look the other woman directly in the eye and replied, "It is. So if... If you could tell me when you expect Taichi to be back home, I will be most grateful."
She waited breathlessly, her whole body itching to flee. Taichi wasn't there; he wouldn't be there for some time, hence, there was literally no point of her staying any second longer than absolutely necessary. She didn't expect his mother to be particularly helpful, either, given the kind of attitude she had always displayed towards her...
...and yet, she stuck around anyway.
As long as Reiko didn't tell her to give it a rest and go home, she would not retreat. As long as there was the tiniest spark of hope to hold onto, she would not back down.
"I don't know that," she heard her answer at last. "He was supposed to return more than an hour ago, however, he called me to say that he would be staying longer. Apparently he has found his tutor to be extremely competent, so he wants to make the most of it before regular school work kicks in too hard. I asked him when he intended to return, but even Taichi couldn't tell me that. I would not expect him for another hour, however, maybe more... So I'm afraid you won't be able to see him at all today."
"I... I see," Chihaya stammered in response, her voice barely above a whisper. "Thank you for telling me. I'll be on my way then. Have a good night, ma'am."
She bowed again and turned around at last, quiet and stunned, her whole posture slumping under that unwelcome new development. She shouldn't have been surprised – shouldn't have been upset. She had assumed that Taichi might not be at home before she'd even reached his household, and the view of his mother opening the door for her had only confirmed her suspicions. The fact that Taichi had decided to stay at the cram school and study longer was hardly astonishing, either – she'd known him long enough to expect nothing less from him.
He could be the most ambitious, most stubborn person she'd come across, if only he chose to be – and, while her own ambitions made her hot-headed and inattentive, her greediness always making her spread herself too thin... Taichi could still remain organised and composed, setting up plans and following them despite the many obstacles that came in his way.
And given how determined he seemed to burn all of his bridges and cut all the ties now...
Focusing on cram school seemed like the most obvious choice.
And yet, as unsurprising as it was, learning that particular bit of information still managed to leave her feeling empty, as if all hope, all expectations she had built up so far had been sucked out of her by the use of one simple statement. Up until the very last moment, Chihaya had hoped that she might still be able to speak to him that day – even if it meant wandering around the place for the next hour, waiting for Taichi to return, even if it meant going to her own home and then coming back after she received the news of him arriving.
Now, it was clear that neither was possible.
Behind her, she could hear the sound of a door closing. She had to bite her lip to stop it from trembling, but refused to show the signs of resignation that were slowly but surely taking over her. She told herself that it wasn't much of a deal; after all, she and Taichi still attended the same school so if she tried hard enough, she should be able to reach him without that much trouble. It would be difficult and awkward, what with all those people around them... But it wasn't impossible.
If they could reach Arata and get him to respond, then approaching Taichi surely had to be possible as well.
She was mere feet away from the pavement when she felt her phone buzz. It was more of a reflex than anything else, but she pulled it out anyway, not even bothering to guess who it was that was messaging her now. It could have been her mum, or Chitose, or maybe one of the karuta club members wanting to learn how she was faring – after all, just because she'd taken a break from the game and left the club didn't mean that they had stopped being her friends. It could have even been Arata, for all she cared, sharing more information about his own brand new team or asking about why she'd decided to leave hers...
Any other time, she would have had a million ideas as to who might have been the sender and responded enthusiastically to each and every one of them.
Right now, however, there was only one person from whom she wanted to hear.
Sadly, he was also the one person who sure as hell wouldn't have contacted her.
Only after turning the corner did she stop to look at the device in her hand, while silently praying that the message would not require her immediate response, and certainly not a lengthy or particularly eloquent one. She stopped short at the sight of an unfamiliar email address and the message that demanded no reply at all.
It was an address.
"But who would..." she whispered, bemused, her eyes once again glued to her phone screen and a message she'd had no reason to expect. Her question lingered in the air, unfinished as she reread the message, once, twice, three times. She knew the name of the street; the name of the institution mentioned also rang a bell, even if she couldn't quite put her finger on it yet. She nearly jumped when the device vibrated again, announcing the arrival of another message, and from the same person no less.
Taichi's cram school isn't far off from here, you should be fine going there on foot. I take it you can find your way there.
Chihaya's eyes were wide as she skimmed that most recent email, now more than ever astonished with what she was reading. Who could have sent her the address of Taichi's school and with a commentary so direct and – in a way – casual? And now, after she had just talked to his mother and was sent on her merry way? Was it Rika, Taichi's little sister, who had overheard the conversation and decided to help her out behind her mother's back? They weren't exactly friends, if anything, Chihaya would have said that Rika's attitude towards her was just as haughty and belittling as that of Reiko... However, if not her, then who?
Surely, it couldn't have been...
"Mrs. Pressure?!" she cried abruptly, and so loudly that the passer-bys on the parallel streets could be seen startling at the noise. As for Chihaya, her brow rose even higher when she'd shifted her gaze back to the enigmatic email address which under closer inspection proved to be that of Mashima Reiko, indeed. The sudden turn of events made her head go dizzy, just like the sight of the aforementioned woman had just a few minutes earlier.
So she doesn't completely hate me... Chihaya thought, a weak but warm smile blossoming on her overly tired face. Or at least, she doesn't think it would be harmful for me to see Taichi now, which on its own is a big thing. Or does she...
Does she realise how unhappy Taichi is right now and thinks I can help with that?
"Or maybe she knows he hates me and wants me to find out for myself," she added under her breath, her lips curving in a grimace. "I can never tell what that woman really thinks."
She shook her head again, however, ashamed of the reaction she'd just displayed, and even dared to voice. Whatever her intentions were, the message Reiko had sent was a huge help, for which Chihaya decided to remain eternally grateful, regardless of how her talk with Taichi went in the end.
Plus, there was something about that email, something she couldn't point out but felt nonetheless, which seemed much more like a blessing than a trap to her.
Maybe she was being a naive airhead again, but that was what she chose to believe.
"Alright, it's time for action then!" she told herself and slapped her cheeks, this time bringing to herself the attention of the fellow human beings walking down the street. Focused on her goal, she remained ignorant to their reactions and continued in the same manner, without a trace of hesitation in her, "If I get this right, Taichi is about twenty minutes on foot away from here. I can make it ten. I will make it eight!"
She broke into a run right then and there, not even bothering to put her phone away, and not because she thought she might need to check the address again. She was already late; she couldn't afford a second more.
She'd already screwed up so badly: when Taichi had confessed his love to her and she couldn't have brought herself to answer him openly; when they still practised together but she was too overwhelmed to respond even to the tiniest of signals; when she'd missed the moment when he'd made up his mind about leaving the karuta club; when she had ran after him when she'd finally learnt that but instead of trying to help and understand him, she'd once again focused on her own selfish needs and begged him not to leave her.
Day after day she'd gone on screwing up even more, unable to find the right words she should speak to him, or maybe simply having been too much of a chicken to approach him with the ones she'd had in mind.
He'd called himself a coward, while the only one deserving of that name was her.
I won't mess up again, she repeated to herself in between her long strides. I won't let my fears take the better of me. I'll get to you, Taichi, I'll find you and talk to you and make sure you hear every single word this time. So wait for me! Don't go home just yet, don't make me miss you again! I will reach you this time!
Her eyes were full of tears again, and not because of the wind and dust that blew in her face. She wiped them hastily, again and again, but it was of little use; and yet, while the dark smudges marked her cheeks, her smile grew wide, once again mirroring the hope that seemed to have left her. The faster she ran, the more tired she was, the greater and more positive the emotions that filled her heart became.
Taichi's words resonated in her mind but they were no longer a threat; somewhere along her feverish race they'd turned into a dare, a challenge she had to rise to. It wasn't going to be easy – she still couldn't give him the reaction he wished for, but she could at least face the truth of his feelings towards her and respond to that truth with a clear, honest answer.
He was her best friend in the entire world. And even if he still needed her to step away for a time, she refused to call it anything but a temporary change.
She was willing to give him space and freedom, if that was what he wanted from her – but she could not imagine a scenario in which she let their friendship end without putting up a fight first.
She wasn't capable of letting him go like this.
She was way too greedy for that.
And she cared for him too much.
"I love you," he had said. "I love the fingernails that you never grow. I love your fingers and your hair, and the mouth you open wide like an idiot. I love your face when you laugh. I love you."
He'd found so many ways to tell her the same, single truth, when he could have easily backed off. Taichi was clever, there was no way that he couldn't grasp her reaction from the very first moments of that stunned, hollow silence that had come over them because she couldn't have uttered a single word on her part. He'd known that she would not respond in kind, that she would not accept him, no matter how long he might have waited for her.
She knew their friendship meant the world to him, too, and so he'd had every reason to retreat and turn the tables again. If he had told her it was a joke – if he'd said that it was just a dumb prank and she was silly to take any of it seriously, she would have believed him.
And yet, he hadn't. In fact, he'd done the opposite, pushing forward until it was all out in the open. Every feeling he'd suppressed, every ounce of affection he'd spent years hiding from her, it was there; even if it hadn't resonated fully in his words, it'd still been reflected in his body, his expression, in the way he'd looked at her. Those big, bright eyes so full of tenderness she'd never been allowed to see, or maybe simply had failed to recognise.
"I love you, I love you, I love you."
He had given himself up, made himself completely and entirely vulnerable. Hers to take, and hers to reject. He had offered her his heart, even though he must have known how slim his chances had been.
She had taken that heart and crushed it, and hadn't even had the guts to tell him why.
She arrived at the cram school, one full minute before her proclaimed eight. She stood there for a while, panting, gasping for air she couldn't take well because she kept choking on her sobs. Her hair was a mess, long locks sticking out in all directions while her face was smeared with the mixture of her tears and the dust that had accumulated on her cheeks when she'd dashed towards her destination, the result only made worse by her constant rubbing when she'd tried to wipe the tears away.
She sure was glad that she wasn't wearing any mascara that day – though on the other hand, she very much doubted that it would have changed much.
Focus, she chided herself, simultaneously reaching up to comb her hair with her fingers and contemplating whether or not she should bind it. I'd say it doesn't matter how I look – I'm not here to make an impression, only to talk to him. But Taichi is perceptive... he will notice that something is wrong. And I don’t want him thinking about me today.
She took a deep breath, then another. She straightened up and squared her shoulders, readying herself in the same way she had before ringing at the Mashima residence earlier on, her left hand still buried in the maze of fair strands, while she rummaged through her bag with her right. Somehow, she managed to find a – moderately – clean towel that she could use to clear up her face. She got to work right after, still unsure of how much time she actually had, yet determined not to waste a second.
She didn't have a mirror to look into and make sure that she was presentable enough. She was Ayase Chihaya, a pretty nitwit who never remembered to carry anything that girls like Chitose (her own sister) or Hanano (her surprisingly supportive friend) would have deemed indispensable in a young girl's bag.
A true beauty in vain who couldn't even make sure that she looked decent enough when it mattered.
She heard a noise coming from in front of her and raised her gaze instinctively. With her eyes fixed on the front door, she pricked up her ears, waiting for another sound to come and carry the information she was so eager to learn. Was it Taichi that had made the first one? Was it because he was close to the door, preparing to leave? Or was the sound a random one, and not an announcement of his departure? What was the chance that it had been him that had made it?
She waited impatiently but no other noise came. She supposed it was to be expected – the one she'd heard before was probably caused by some incident, like someone walking into a trash bin, so definitely not something people did every day. Besides, even if it had been someone readying themselves to leave, what reasons did she have to think it would be Taichi she'd see come out?
It was foolish to expect him right after she'd got there.
Timing like that didn't happen in everyday life.
And yet, as if to refute her scepticism with a miracle that should not have been possible, the door cracked open, and she saw Taichi standing in it. With one hand on the handle and one foot over the threshold, his body was still mostly turned to the inside of the building as he said his goodbyes to whoever was in charge. Posed like this, he obviously couldn't see her; but it was only a matter of seconds before he turned again and crossed the doorstep, and then he would have no choice but to face her.
For what seemed like a hundredth time that day, Chihaya felt her heart slow down so much that it seemed to have stopped beating at all, only to pick up its pace with double force a short moment later.
She wasn't ready to meet him and yet, all she prayed for was that he wouldn't run away from her before she could tell him what she had come to say.
Lost in her pleading, she instinctively closed her eyes and thus missed the very moment she'd been so anxious to come upon. It was right after her eyelids closed and her head lowered in a small bow that Taichi did turn around and saw her – and she was too busy clenching her fists and muttering wishes to witness it.
Too much of a mess to properly greet him.
She didn't see the shock that reflected on his countenance when he recognised her. His widened eyes and raised brow, the slight gap between his parted lips, the way his cheeks flushed against his knowledge and will – it was all lost on her, not because she didn't care but because she cared too much.
They stood like this for a while: he, unable to speak because of his astonishment and she, so determined not to miss her chance that she'd become unaware of the world around her. If Taichi had decided to walk past her, she wouldn't have noticed until he was a good few metres behind her.
She would have missed the chance the Heavens had granted her, and all because she was so afraid of that very thing happening.
And yet, the same Taichi who had done his best to ignore her at school – the same boy she'd expected to flee at the sight of her or at best, to say his 'hello' coolly and leave her behind right after – the same boy still stood at the top of the stairs that led to the building, eyeing her cautiously, unhurriedly, as if it was both the first and the last time he'd been given the chance to look at her like that.
His face showed a full range of emotions, from surprise to confusion, to anger, to eagerness, before he eventually managed to summon his trademark stoicism and successfully hide all of those feelings behind a mask of indifference he'd been forced to wear before her so many times before, for both their sakes.
Lost in her thoughts, Chihaya didn't see any of that.
"What are you doing here?" he asked. The simple question was enough to make her bubble pop and spatter into a thousand million drops, a soft, warm mist that now fell down around her. "Shouldn't you still be at school, studying? Or I don't know, at home?"
Unlike the burning feelings swirling inside her, Taichi's words were cold, icy even. His tone bore no emotion and his face was, yet again, an inscrutable mask, one that she'd come to hate so fiercely, because she now knew how much was hidden underneath.
"Why, Taichi? Why do you do everything alone?"
Why don't you trust us?
Why don't you trust me?
He hadn't trusted her before – how could she expect him to trust her now?
"I couldn't focus in the library," she replied, a little too fervently, just like she always did. "I tried for hours, but I wasn't learning anything."
Taichi turned his head away, huffing. "Nothing new there. But that hardly explains why you are here."
"You weren't at home. Your mum gave me this address."
"And why were you at my home of all places?" he asked again, his aloofness fading away a little in favour of genuine curiosity, although it was clear that he still wanted to keep some of his walls standing. "You haven't been there in ages, it's not like you've had a chance to leave something behind and had to pick it up. And no offence, but hell will freeze over before my mother invites you for a chitchat."
"I wasn't there to see your mum," Chihaya answered him. Her gaze was still locked with his and her chin was raised high, as if she'd wanted to prove that his frigid responses weren't enough to intimidate her... but her voice was quiet and certainly not as firm as she would've liked it to be. Still, she kept going. "I came to see you. And you weren't there."
"But why?" Taichi wouldn't give up. "Why didn't you just look for me at school today? Or, if it was more recent, why not tomorrow? Gosh, Chihaya, you could have called me..."
"Don't you act as if it was so easy to catch you between classes," she replied with annoyance, her usual fire kicking in again. "I barely see you at all. And it's not something I want to talk about on the phone, either."
Silence fell over them again, Chihaya's words still echoing between them. She was looking at Taichi now, and so this time, she could see the change in his features perfectly. The alterations weren't big: a slightly more focused gaze, the most insignificant narrowing of his eyes, the fingers that twitched as if they'd been about to curl into fists but were stopped violently at the very last moment.
Her own vision had never been anywhere near as good as her hearing; she wasn't the most observant person, either. In fact, most of the time, she was downright oblivious...
And yet, she hadn't missed any of his microexpressions this time.
"Stupid," he said eventually, thrusting his hands into the pockets of his trousers and fixing his eyes on the ground before him. "What could you possibly have to say that I need to hear in person?"
And there it was, the susceptibility he'd been trying so hard to conceal but failed to do so in the end, not because he hadn't worked hard enough but because Chihaya's senses made it impossible for her to fall for any pretence on his part. It wasn't just her hearing, or just the fact that she'd known him for years, or even that she was more concentrated now than she had been in the toughest, most demanding of matches – but the combination of all those, additionally supported by her own enhanced sensitivity, that had made it possible for her to see through his defences more clearly than when he had taken them down for her himself.
She did it against his will and against his wishes, and somehow, it worked miraculously.
"You're not a coward!" she exclaimed with as much passion as she could muster, loudly, confidently, despite the tears that were once again gathering in back of her eyes and the tightening of her throat that she couldn't have prevented. "You said you wanted to become someone who isn't one, but that would mean that you are a coward now, and must change to achieve that. And I refuse to believe that!"
She inhaled sharply and blinked in order to keep the annoying, salty drops from falling down too soon. Her golden irises shone with tears and zeal alike; captivated by the vision, Taichi failed to use his only chance to interrupt her speech this time.
"You're not a coward," she repeated, with the same tenacity ringing in her tone. "Even if that's what you think you are, or what you were back then... It doesn't matter anymore. It's all in the past, Taichi, because you have already changed. Without even realising it, you've grown, so much that sometimes I catch myself not recognising you, regardless of how long we've known one another. Just those last two years we spent together prove beyond doubt that you couldn't be further from giving in to your fears and giving up, which is exactly what cowards do. You're ambitious and determined, and you don't let failures get in your way.
"And if you still think this isn't enough," she picked up after another short pause. "If you still need evidence greater than that... Then know that telling me about what happened when we were in sixth grade – telling me about what really happened to Arata's glasses, and after all these years... That is the greatest sign of courage to me."
She didn't say anything else, letting her words reverberate, not expecting to receive an answer to her ardent, most heartfelt speech, but leaving it for Taichi to discern and interpret for himself. She hadn't come here to argue with him, after all. The subject was still too sore for them both and besides, she knew that no discussion could do them any good.
She'd come to meet him to tell him this one specific thing, because something in her had told her that it was important and that Taichi should be allowed to hear it as well. It was the one burden she could lift from his shoulders and therefore, she had to. She knew that, compared to all the misery she'd caused him, it was not even a beginning of repayment... However, she had to do something.
She wasn't going to do more, though. She wasn't wanted here anymore, she wasn't needed. She'd fulfilled her quest and was not eager to cross the boundaries again.
Slowly, attentively, she bowed her head and cast down her eyes, a silent 'goodbye' that was better left unsaid.
Then she turned and walked away towards the gate.
It took all of her strength not to break into a sprint again.
Some headcanons for The Long Road that absolutely nobody asked for
Who’s the messiest one:
Everyone has their places that they are the messiest one in.
dean: when he cooks, he does not clean up the kitchen afterward. he reasons that cleanup is sam's detail, because that splits the work 50-50. most of the time, sam is okay with this because he doesn't particularly enjoy cooking and is tired of takeout. he'll bitch dean out in three circumstances: 1, he hasn't been there (fair), 2, he wanted to eat out (less fair), 3, DID YOU REALLY HAVE TO WRECK THE WHOLE KITCHEN TO BAKE A FRICKIN PIE (least fair).
when it comes to the state of his room, though, dean falls right between sam and adam. it's his space, so he reasons everyone can mind their own business. sometimes he is really on top of it; other stretches of time, he'll let things pile up / get out of place before he'll do something about it.
you so much as leave a to-go cup in Baby, though, and God help you.
sam: between the three of them, sam tends to be the most orderly and tidy. BUT, leave that man alone to his own devices in the library? he's probably fallen asleep atop an entire table of "organized chaos" of open books, pages of notes, a new (unimplemented) filing system, a dozen bookmarked tomes, and a couple dozen pens lost amid the chaos. sam in research mode + cross-referencing & digitizing & organizing the men of letters' archives into a streamlined and interconnected, coherent system is...a lot. just like A Lot. and it Shows. (and sam's loving every minute of it. utterly geeking out in his own head.)
adam: is a disaster child. he'll let shit pile up until he has to deal with it, or is otherwise bitched at enough by (usually) sam. he doesn't have a lot of stuff, so it can't reach actual problem levels in the bunker. but he's totally the kind to be like, "what the hell? how long has this been here? hey, guys, when did we eat at burger king? oh god, we should definitely toss that at the next gas station. what? no i'm not going searching for a trash can right now" about his car.
Who feels the most uncomfortable about PDA:
it is, get this, sam. i know, i know. hear me out. when given the option, adam can and will be affectionate within reason. he's the most uptight and gunshy about it at first, when he just gets out of the cage; tends to withdraw from people getting too close, always on edge; as a survivor of the most Traumatic Thing in the Universe, that is more than fair and expected.
once he's had time to find his footing with sam & dean, however, he'll greet them with a bro-hug, when appropriate, a slap on the back, a nudge of the elbow, lowkey affection like that.
dean came back from purgatory more affectionate than he'd ever been before. much more readily will not only greet with a hug, but say goodbye (even in 'casual' partings) with a hug.
that leaves sam, who used to be considered more mushy than dean by these terms. dean's lowkey affection he's used to. adam's? nah. no. especially in the first 5 years, for the amount of time that adam does it (before shit gets Real Bad). after adam gets out of the institution, he gravitates more towards sam naturally, even when pissed, and sam's kinda lowkey why is he in my personal space??? weird. because it doesn't innately fit the same kind of way it does with dean. post-reintegration, he's more affectionate after they've found their footing again. he tries to make up for the Bad Years with more slaps on the shoulder kind of affection. boy's trying.
Who’s the funniest drunk:
sam is a disaster drunk. he's the biggest lightweight of the three of them, which is funny because he's also the biggest, just like the biggest in general. dean becomes so much fun in unexpectedly different kinds of ways. like, he can be talked into karaoke. or doing some stupid shit he's gonna regret in the morning because odds are it's not gonna end well.
but adam is straight up hilarious. that sharp wit comes out, and all his inhibitions (and image) are gone so he just straight up cracks the worst jokes ever and gets away with it. they land. somehow they land. maybe because sam & dean are also drunk. maybe because he is just that funny. maybe it's that he has a tendency to get blackout-wasted and do stupid shit that makes no sense whatsoever, like shower with his f*ckin socks on and dean is never gonna let that shit die.
Who texts the most:
adam or dean. during large periods of time in the first 5 years, adam will leave dean on read and dean texts because read receipts means he knows when adam is checking his messages and therefore he knows adam is at least alive, if not entirely alright. by that view, dean texts the most.
but for random shit, that would be adam. he'll text dean something like
with either no caption, or something like: this reminds me you need to hit the gym, or looks like you have competition and doesn't give further context. dean doesn't mind because at least it means the kid's not dying in a basement somewhere.
he'll kick his ass for the fat comment later
Who reads the most:
it goes in this order:
sam "i read this entire book in one sitting cause i had the time, and now i am awake at 1am because i can't decide if i want to start another one since i have down time" winchester
adam "does it have cool illustrations? no? fine, at least tell me the lore on boobries is correct" milligan
dean "what job has the least amount of reading?" winchester
Who has the most embarrassing taste in music:
eff. ing. adam. even in his own car (where, hey, the rules are driver picks the music dean!) he's only allowed a certain amount of time for his "whiny teenage garbage music" (thanks dean) before he has to change it to something a little more tolerable (rock, at the very least). heaven help him if he hints at something country with dean around. dean will be like, sit your ass down it's time for REAL music 101 and put on Metallica for the 8th time.
Who’s better with kids:
adam, with dean a very, very close second! so close, they probably tie. adam, early on, isn't good with anyone because fresh-out-of-the-cage (even post-institution for a bit) makes him kind of a hairs-breadth triggered bomb when it comes to people of all ages. but adam a bit more balanced? a natural. he grew up around extended family, friends, wanted kids of his own someday.
sam, however, is the absolute worst. a pure disaster moron in this arena. when adam is de-aged? dean didn't think it was possible for sam to suck so much at something. (don't worry, the boy found his bearings. but oh man...the road to get there, paved with more potholes than road.) BUT when sam really tries? like if he lets himself relax and lowers his inhibitions, he can do pretty well. but he's mostly just Highly Uncomfortable around kids, and like, it Shows.
Who’s the one that fixes things around the house:
dean. put that boy in the garage, under the hood of a car, great. can do it all. put that boy in front of a little home repair? renovation? by god he'll figure it out. and he won't put a hole in the wall shut up sammy. he takes pride in the upkeep of the bunker.
sam, however, is much more content to just be like ah man i wish we had a shelf here. or, oh right we need to remember to do xyz and then sit back and wait for it to Magically Take Care of Itself.
Who’s got the weirdest hobby:
hobby? what the hell is that? a homeless person?
Who cooks and who cleans up:
dean cooks, sam cleans. adam cooks, sam and dean will rock-paper-scissors for cleanup. or leave adam to do it. sam is never allowed to cook. he's a horrible cook. they'd literally rather eat out than let sam cook. sam, of course, is highly insulted, but also like...he knows dean & adam are better cooks. they just are. yes, fine, he'll wash the dishes again.
every now and then he gives it a shot. surprisingly he makes really good pancakes. he'll cook just to force one of the others to have to cleanup when he's tired of being on dish duty. dean & adam are not impressed when he tries to leverage sandwiches for dish duty.
sam, somewhat sloshed on a saturday night will be like, guys! guys! hey why don't i make us food and dean and adam are like, duuuuuude. ...wait, no. sam- and he's like, no, guys, i got this, and brings them microwave burritos. and THEN they're like hey! no! this does NOT mean we're doing dishes!
